Wusheng County, subordinate to Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, is located in the east of Sichuan Basin, the middle reaches of Jialing River, the southwest of Guang'an City, the junction of Sichuan and Chongqing, Yuechi County in the East, Pengxi County in the west, Hechuan District of Chongqing City in the South and Nanchong City in the north. It is 48.5 km from east to west and 40.5 km from north to south, covering an area of 960 square kilometers. It governs 23 townships and 515 administrative villages, with a total population of 848000. Wusheng County is the hometown of Chinese folk art (bamboo silk curtain), the second largest Hui people settlement in Jialing River Basin, known as "Jialing pearl". History of construction
Wusheng County has a long history. In ancient times, people lived in the county, engaged in fishing, hunting, agriculture and other production labor.
From the Shang Dynasty (about 16th century BC) to the Southern Song Dynasty (420-479 AD), the counties were Liangzhou, Bajun and Baxi, Dianjiang County (now Hechuan).
In the Southern Qi Dynasty (479-502), the county in the north of Dianjiang County was established in the early Han Dynasty. According to the records of Fang Yu who read history: "it is said that Yongchi built a city here in the early Han Dynasty", and the name of the county came from it. In the early Han Dynasty, the county belonged to the Liao County of dongdangqu in Yizhou. In the book of Nanqi: the seventh record of Zhoujun, it is said that "dongdangqu is a poor county, Dangqu, Pingzhou and the early Han Dynasty". The county government is in the early Han village of Liemian Town, wusheng County. In the Southern Dynasty Liang Datong (535-545), the county in the early Han Dynasty belonged to Xinxing County of Chuzhou. In the Southern Qi Dynasty (479-502), to the north of Dianjiang County, the county was first established in the early Han Dynasty, belonging to dongdangquliao County of Yizhou. In 556, the third year of Gongdi in the Western Wei Dynasty, Xinxing County of Chuzhou was changed into Qingju County of Hezhou (the county ruled the county in the early Han Dynasty), which was divided into Qingju County in the early Han Dynasty, belonging to Hezhou. The army ruled the old counties and townships of wusheng County. Later, it was promoted to Dingyuan Prefecture. In the 20th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1283), the county in the early Han Dynasty (history of the Yuan Dynasty, geography annals) was restored and renamed Dingyuan County in the 22nd year of the Yuan Dynasty (1285). In 1371, Dingyuan county was under the jurisdiction of Hezhou, Chongqing government of Ming Dynasty. In the thirtieth year of Jiajing (1551), Hu Lian, the county magistrate, moved to miaoerba (now the central town) because of the dangerous mountains in the old town.

In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Dingyuan county was renamed wusheng County because it had the same name as Anhui, Shaanxi, Yunnan and other provincial counties. From 1935 to 1949, it was the 11th administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province.
On December 13, 1949, wusheng County was peacefully liberated.
On January 12, 1950, the people's Government of wusheng County was established, which belongs to Nanchong District of northern Sichuan administrative region.
On September 1, 1952, the administrative district of northern Sichuan was withdrawn, and wusheng County belonged to Nanchong District of Sichuan Province (renamed Nanchong District in June 1968).
In July 1993, the administrative office of Guang'an Prefecture was established. Wusheng County belongs to Guang'an Prefecture of Sichuan Province (renamed Guang'an City in July 1998).

In 2001, Huafeng was abolished, Chang'an township was abolished, and Baiping township was established. The township government moved from Chang'an temple to shuimotan, and its jurisdiction remained unchanged.
On June 20, 2004, Nonglin township was renamed baozhensai township.
In November 2014, baozhensai was established as a township.
