Nanxi District, belonging to Yibin City, Sichuan Province, is one of the municipal districts of Yibin City. History of construction
Nanxi district was a place where Bo people lived in ancient times. In the sixth year of Jianyuan (135 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty opened the "Southwest Yi" and established Qianwei county. Today, the county is located in Bodao County, Qianwei County, to the Southern Qi Dynasty. Bodao county is the earliest record of Nanxi historical civilization. In the Eastern Han Dynasty (214), Nanguang county was changed to Zhuti County, and it was changed to Nanguang County in the reign of Yanxi of the Shu Dynasty; it passed through the Jin Dynasty and was abolished later.
At the beginning of Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty (502-557), Nanguang county was newly established near Fuxikou, shigu township. At the same time, Liutong county was set up here to govern the newly established Nanguang county. The establishment of Nanguang county was "the beginning of Nanxi County establishment". In the 10th year of Datong (544), Rongzhou was set up to govern today's Yibin City, and Nanguang county was under the jurisdiction of Rongzhou.
In the third year of kaihuang (581-600) of Sui Dynasty, Liutong county was abolished at the beginning and was directly under Rongzhou.
In the early years of Renshou (601-604) of Sui Dynasty, it was renamed Nanxi County for avoiding the crown prince Yang Guangbo. At the beginning of the county, the North Bank of Lizhuang Town, Cuiping District, Yibin City (from Fuxikou to guilunchang) was under the control of the county.
