Anzhou district is located in the southwest of Mianyang City, the northwest of Sichuan Basin, and the middle of Longmen Mountains. It lies between 31 ° 23 ′~ 31 ° 47 ′ N and 104 ° 05 ′~ 104 ° 38 ′ e, bordering Jiangyou City in the East and Fucheng District in the southeast, Luojiang District of Deyang City in the south, Mianzhu City in the southwest, Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County in the north and Fucheng District in the West In the north, it is adjacent to Mao County of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. According to the preliminary planning of the centralized development area of Mianyang Science and Technology City, the centralized development area involves Jiepai Town, Xingren Township and Huapeng town in Anzhou District, which will greatly expand the development space of Mianyang Science and technology city.
Anzhou district has an area of 1189 square kilometers, with 9 towns and 1 townships. In 2019, the registered residence population was 441 thousand and 494, and the total area realized 18 billion 553 million yuan in total.
Anzhou district was established in 347 ad (the third year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty). It is the hometown of Li Tiaoyuan, a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty, and Sha Ting, a famous modern writer. There are mainly Qianfo Mountain, Luofu Mountain, Baishui lake, sister bridge and Wenxing Pavilion.
Anzhou has superior location and convenient transportation. It is close to Chengdu Mianyang Guangzhou expressway, national highway 108 and Mianyang Chongqing Expressway, with a total mileage of 2139 km. Backbone roads such as s418 line, S216 line, tourist ring line and Mian'an second expressway, together with Liaoning Avenue, liao'an road and Chengqing Road, form a new traffic system of "one horizontal, eight vertical and one ring". A regional half-hour economic circle with urban area as the core has been basically formed.
In March 2019, it will be listed in the first batch of counties for the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. On December 6, 2019, it was selected as the pilot unit of promoting the quality improvement of farmers' cooperatives in the whole county.
Historical evolution
The establishment of counties in Anzhou district began in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Previously, most of the county was located in Fu County (now Fucheng District of Mianyang City), which was subordinate to Guanghan county and Zitong county.
In the third year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 347), the overseas Chinese set up three counties, Jinxing, Yichang and Xichong, belonging to Brazil county. Jinxing County governs Xiangyang Village of Yong'an Township, Yichang County governs Guandou mountain of Lianfeng village of Huapeng Town, and Xichong County governs bazhang of boiling water Township.
In 413 A.D., Xipu county was set up, which belongs to Zitong county and is now located in Shenquan village, Tashui town. During the Liusong and Nanqi dynasties, there was no change in the establishment and subordination. The Liang Dynasty abolished Xipu county and set up Yichang and Jinxing counties.
In the first year of emperor Tianzheng of Wuling (552 AD), Xichong Guoqiao county was abolished and Pingchuan county (also known as Pingzhou county) was established. Yichang, Jinxing and Pingchuan counties all belong to Zitong County of Brazil.
In the Western Wei Dynasty (553-557), Pingchuan County moved to Xipu County, and the old city site (Shenquan village, Tashui town) was changed to Wan'an County; Jinxing county was merged into Yichang county and changed to Brazil county. In 571 A.D., Pingchuan county was abolished; Jinshan County was newly established in the old town of Jinxing county (Xiangyang Village, Yong'an township), belonging to Ancheng County; Yichang county was changed to Wan'an county.
In the third year of kaihuang (583 AD), Yichang county was abolished and merged into Jinshan County; in the sixth year of kaihuang (586 AD), Shenquan county was newly established in the old city of Pingchuan county (Shenquan village, Tashui town). Both counties belong to mianzhou (Mianyang City). Sui Daye three years (AD 607) changed the state to county, mianzhou renamed Jinshan County, Jinshan County repealed into Shenquan County, belongs to Jinshan County.
In the third year of Wude of Tang Dynasty (620 AD), Longan County was newly established in the old city of Jinshan County (Xiangyang Village, Yongan Township); in the first year of Yongchun (682 AD), Xichang county was newly established in the old city of Yichang county (Guandou mountain, Lianfeng village, Huapeng town); Shenquan county was still established. All the three counties belong to mianzhou (mianzhou was once renamed Brazil County in Tang Dynasty).
In the Five Dynasties, there was no change in the establishment and subordination.
In the fifth year of Xining (1072 AD), Xichang county was abolished and merged into Long'an County, while Shenquan county was still established. Both counties were subordinate to Brazil County of mianzhou. In the seventh year of Zhenghe in the Northern Song Dynasty (1117 AD), Shiquan army was set up in Shenquan county and Long'an County under the jurisdiction of mianzhou and Shiquan County under the jurisdiction of Maozhou. Now Beichuan County governs cities and towns, and Shiquan army is subordinate to Chengdu Fu Road. Xuanhe three years (AD 1121) because Shiquan army was reduced to military envoys, Shenquan, Long'an two counties also subordinate to mianzhou. Xuanhe seven years (AD 1125) to restore the Shiquan army, jurisdiction Shiquan, Shenquan, Long'an three counties. In the third year of Baoyou in the Southern Song Dynasty (1255 AD), Shiquan army moved to Longan County (now Xiangyang Village, Yong'an township).
In the fifth year of the central unification of the Yuan Dynasty (the fifth year of JINGDING in the Southern Song Dynasty, 1264 AD), Shiquan army was promoted to Anzhou, where it ruled Xiangyang Village, Yongan Township. Longan County and Shenquan county were abolished, and the Prefecture was directly under the central government. Shiquan County was still under the jurisdiction of the prefecture. Anzhou belongs to Chengdu Fu Road.
In the seventh year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1374 AD), Anzhou was demoted to Anxian County, and now Anchang town was moved to Chengdu.
In 1727 ad, mianzhou was upgraded to Zhili Prefecture, and Anxian county was changed to mianzhou.
Mianzhou was abolished in 1913, and Anxian was the 13th administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province until December 1949. On December 25, 1949, Anxian county was peacefully liberated.
In 1950, Anxian County belonged to the Mianyang special area of the Western Sichuan administrative department. In 1952, the administrative district was abolished and Sichuan Province was set up. Anxian county belongs to Mianyang special district of Sichuan Province.
In 1959, after Luojiang and Deyang merged into counties, the Heqing and Baolin townships under their jurisdiction were assigned to an County.
In 1968, it was changed into a special area, and Anxian county belongs to Mianyang area of Sichuan Province. In February 1985, Mianyang area was abolished and Anxian county was under the jurisdiction of Mianyang City, Sichuan Province.
On May 26, 2000, with the approval of the State Council, it was agreed to move the seat of the people's Government of an County from Anchang town to Huapeng town. In April 2002, Anxian county was officially moved from Anchang town to Huapeng town.
On May 22, 2008, the county Party committee and government of Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County held a temporary office listing ceremony in Tianlong Hotel, Anchang Town, Anxian county.
On February 6, 2009, the six villages of Anchang Town, Yong'an Town, Changle, Hongyan, Shunyi, Hongqi, Wenquan and Dongyu of Huangtu town in Anxian county were put under the jurisdiction of Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, and the people's Government of Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County was moved from Qushan town to Anchang town. After the adjustment, the area of Anxian County decreased by 215 square kilometers and the population decreased by more than 78000 people.
On April 23, 2016, with the approval of the State Council, Anxian county was abolished and Anzhou District of Mianyang City was established; on May 20 of the same year, Anzhou District of Mianyang City was officially listed.

During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, Anxian had six townships: Shangqing Township, Yuanmen Township, Xingxian Township, Shenquan Township, Anren Township and Tongji township. In 1735, six townships were changed into four townships in the East, West, South and North. In 1910, there were seven townships in the county: Wu'an Township, Fuquan Township, Xichang Township, Shenquan Township, Xiushui Township, Heqing Township and Shangguan township.
From the first year of the Republic of China to the 24th year of the Republic of China (1912-1935), Anxian county set up 18 districts. In December 1935, the county was divided into three districts, including 18 joint insurances, 364 and 3652a. In 1940, it was changed into a township. On February 24, 1943, Xingren township was added, and three townships of maojia, Fangshui and Qushan were designated, and three townships of Hanchang, Xinglong and Xiaoba were designated. The county has 3 administrative regions, 19 townships and 366 townships. In 1948, the county had 3 administrative regions, 2 towns, 17 townships, 355 Bao and 3686a. The first district is Anchang Town, which governs Anchang Town, Huapeng Town, Huangtu Township, Yong'an Township, Leigu Township, Jiepai Township and Sangzao township. The second district is Xiushui Township, which governs Xiushui Township, Hanchang Township, Feishui Township, JuShui Township, Xiaoba Township and Chaping township. In the third district, Heqing township is set up under the jurisdiction of Heqing Township, Yongxing Township, Xinglong Township, Tashui Township, Xingren Township and Lexing township.
On May 24, 1950, the original three administrative divisions were divided into five administrative regions, with jurisdiction over 19 townships. In July 1952, Leigu and Chaping townships were assigned to Beichuan County. In 1953, the administrative division of Anxian county was adjusted appropriately. There were 1 county town, 5 districts, 4 district towns, 1 Township Town, 26 townships and 303 villages in the county. On June 16, 1958, Chaping Township returned to Anxian County; in September, all districts and towns were abolished, and eight people's communes were established, namely, Chengguan, Chaping, Hongqi, Tashui, lexing, Xiushui, Taiping and Heqing people's communes. On March 1, 1959, because the establishment of Luojiang county was abolished, Heqing township (now Qingquan town) and Baolin under the jurisdiction of Luojiang county were put under the jurisdiction of Anxian county. In the same year, large communes were adjusted and divided into small communes, and the county was divided into 18 people's communes. In 1962, there were 27 people's communes in the county. On May 18, 1964, four districts were restored. On December 8, 1983, four administrative districts, five towns and 27 people's communes were abolished. At the end of December, the separation of government and society was implemented. The 27 people's communes were all restored to the township system. The Township People's government was established. The production brigade was changed into a villagers' committee and the production team into a villagers' group.
In 1986, Anxian county had jurisdiction over 7 towns and 13 townships, namely, Anchang Town, Sangzao Town, Huapeng Town, Huangtu Town, Tashui town (Xingta town was renamed Tashui town on April 11), Xiushui Town, Heqing Town, Xiaoba Town, Yong'an Town, Chaping Town, Jiepai Town, Xingren Town, lexing Town, Qingquan Town, Baolin Town, Yonghe Town, boishui Town, Gaochuan Town, Yingxin Town, JuShui town. There are 273 village committees, 2715 village groups and 33 neighborhood committees.
