Jinchengjiang District Jinchengjiang District, located in the northwest of Guangxi, is an important gateway and commodity distribution center to the southwest. Historical evolution
Jinchengjiang district has a long history. In the Qin Dynasty, Jinchengjiang district was located in Guilin County, in the Han Dynasty it was located in Yulin County, and in the Three Kingdoms it was located in the state of Wu. In Jin Dynasty, Yulin County was the first place, and then Guilin county. in Sui Dynasty, Jinchengjiang district was part of Shi'an County, part of Yulin County, and was subordinate to Yuezhou (later renamed as Yizhou) in Tang Dynasty. On October 8, 1983, the State Council approved the abolition of Hechi county and the establishment of Hechi City. In October 2002, the city was removed and divided into districts. On October 8, 1983, the State Council approved (Guo Han No. 215): to abolish Hechi county and establish Hechi City, with the former administrative region of Hechi County as the administrative region of Hechi City. In 1996, Hechi City covers an area of 2339 square kilometers and has a population of about 290000. The total population is 310800, including 114200 non-agricultural population, accounting for 36.7% of the total population. It has jurisdiction over 8 towns and 6 townships: Jinchengjiang Town, Dongjiang Town, Liuwei Town, Liujia Town, Hechi Town, Bagong Town, Jiuwei Town, Wuwei Town, Baitu Town, Xiakao Town, bianling Town, Baoping Town, Changlao town and Sanwang town. There are 111 administrative villages and 33 communities. The district government is located in Jinchengjiang town. On June 13, 2005, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZH No. 169) agreed to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns in Jinchengjiang District: abolish Jinchengjiang town and set up a sub district office, with the former administrative area of Jinchengjiang town as the jurisdiction of the sub district office; abolish Xiakao Township and merge the whole construction system into Hechi Town, with the government station of Hechi town unchanged; abolish Sanwang Township and merge the whole construction system into Jiuwei town The residence of Jiuxu town government remained unchanged.
