History of construction
Bowang district was built in the southern Liang Dynasty, more than 1500 years ago. In 589, the county system in Jiangnan was changed, and Bowang was subordinate to Danyang County of Yangzhou. After the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Danyang county was abolished and Jiangzhou (now Nanjing) was established. Bowang was incorporated into Lishui of Nanjing and belonged to Jiangzhou. Since then, it has changed dozens of times, either in districts, townships, towns, Jiangsu or Anhui. In 1965, Bowang was established as Bowang district. in 1970, the district was demolished and the society was merged. In January 1984, the township system was established.
