On June 291951, by order of Guangxi Provincial People's government, Luorong County, Zhongdu County, Liujiang county and the Second District of xiuren county were merged to form Luzhai County, which belongs to Liuzhou District. On November 30, 2002, it was transferred to Liuzhou city. Luzhai county is "the hometown of Guangxi calligraphy", "the hometown of Guangxi Folk Songs" and "the hometown of Guangxi folk art". There are Guihai expressway, Yanglu expressway, Pinglu second class highway and other national and provincial roads in the territory, and Hunan Guangxi railway runs through the whole territory.

Luzhai County

In the second year of qianning (895), Gonghua was established as an ancient county, and its subordinate relationship remained unchanged.
In the fourth year of Jiayou (1059) of the Song Dynasty, Xiang county entered Luorong; in the sixth year of Jiayou (1061), Gong Hua entered Guxian. Here, the territory is Luorong, Liding, Guxian three counties. In the second year of Shaoxing (1132), Guizhou was renamed Jingjiang Prefecture, Liding county and Guxian County, which belonged to Jingjiang Prefecture, and Luorong County belonged to Liuzhou Prefecture.
In the Yuan Dynasty, Jingjiang government changed Jingjiang Road, Liuzhou government changed Liuzhou Road.
In 1381, Gutian County was renamed Gutian County, belonging to Guilin Prefecture. During this period, the subordination within the territory has changed accordingly. In 1440, Liding county was merged into Yongfu county. In March of 1571, Gutian County was upgraded to the state of Yongning, which governs Yongfu and Yining counties and still belongs to Guilin Prefecture. Here, the territory belongs to Luorong County, Yongfu county and Yongning Prefecture.
In the Qing Dynasty, Luorong was changed to Luorong, belonging to Liuzhou Prefecture. In 1906, Yongning Prefecture, Luorong County, Yongfu County, Liucheng County, Rong County and some other counties set up Zhongdu Fumin hall, which belongs to Guilin Prefecture. Here, the territory belongs to Luorong County, Zhongdu hall and Yongfu county.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Zhongdu hall was reduced to Zhongdu County, which belongs to Guilin Prefecture, while Luorong county still belongs to Liuzhou Prefecture. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the government set up roads. Zhongdu County belonged to Lijiang road. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Lijiang road was changed to Guilin road. Luorong County belonged to Liujiang road. In 1924, Liujiang county was set up in Huangmian, Luzhai and zhaisha districts of Yongfu county. Here, the territory is divided into Luorong, Zhongdu and Liujiang counties. In 1930, Luorong, Zhongdu and Liujiang belonged to the Liuzhou District. In 1934, the three counties belonged to Liuzhou administrative supervision district. In 1940, the three counties belonged to the Fourth District Office of administrative inspector and security commander. In 1942, the three counties belonged to the Second District, which governed Liujiang. In July 1949, the three counties belonged to the 13th District, which ruled Liuzhou.
On June 291951, by order of Guangxi Provincial People's government, Luorong County, Zhongdu County, Liujiang county and the Second District of xiuren county were merged to form Luzhai County, which belongs to Liuzhou District. In August 1952, it was changed to Guilin special area. In August 1958, it was transferred to Liuzhou District (renamed Liuzhou District in 1971). On November 30, 2002, it was transferred to Liuzhou city.

On November 4, 2002, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region agreed to merge Chengguan Township and Luzhai town into Luzhai town. The administrative areas under the jurisdiction of Chengguan Township and Luzhai town were all under the jurisdiction of Luzhai town. Luzhai town government is located in the former Luzhai town government.
On June 13, 2005, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region agreed to abolish Longjiang Township, merge the reconstruction system into zhaisha Town, and keep the government residence unchanged. After the adjustment, Luzhai County governs five towns and five townships: Luzhai Town, Luorong Town, Zhongdu Town, zhaisha Town, Pingshan Town, Huangmian Township, Jiangkou Township, Daojiang Township, Lagou Township and Sipai township.
In January 2011, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved and agreed to adjust the administrative divisions of Yufeng District and Luzhai County of Liuzhou City: Luorong town of Luzhai county was put under the jurisdiction of Yufeng District of Liuzhou City as a whole, the resident of Yufeng District People's government remained unchanged, and the administrative divisions of other urban areas remained unchanged. Luorong town is located in the southwest of Luzhai County, with a total population of 68000 and a total area of 381 square kilometers, 25 kilometers away from the urban area. After the adjustment, the administrative area of Luzhai County decreased by 381 square kilometers. Luzhai county has four towns and five townships: Luzhai Town, Zhongdu Town, zhaisha Town, Pingshan Town, Huangmian Town, Jiangkou Town, Daojiang Town, Lagou town and Sipai town.

In the northeast of Luzhai County, there is the remnant vein of jianqiaoling, while the remnant vein of Dayaoshan extends to the southeast of the county, connecting with the remnant vein of jianqiaoling, accounting for about one fifth of the area of Luzhai county. The northwest part is the peak forest valley area, which is a typical karst landform and a famous 48nong. There are not even a few isolated peaks and even a dense peak forest, but also gentle hills. The central and southern parts of the county are low and flat, mainly gentle hills, platforms and plains. The highest peak in Shanfeng county is gubaowei mountain in Lagou Township, with an altitude of 1241 meters, followed by qixingpo 1204 meters, and Tufeng mountain in zhaisha Town, with an altitude of 1039 meters.

There are 64 rivers and rivers in Luzhai County, including 20 rivers with a rainfall collection area of more than 50 square kilometers. The main rivers are Luoqing River, pomegranate River and guchan river. Luoqing river is named after the confluence of Luojiang River and Qingjiang River. Luojiang river originates from Sanhuang township of Yongfu County, sneaks into the ground at Jiangtou village, and flows out of the ground at xiangqiaoyan of Zhongdu town. Qingjiang River originated in Longsheng County and entered the county in Liding village of Huangmian township. The two rivers converge at Jiujie village of Huangmian Township and flow from northwest to southeast through Huangmian Township, Luzhai Town, Luorong town and Jiangkou township to Liujiang River. The river section is 103 km long and the drainage area is 3231 square kilometers.
