Wuming district is subordinate to Nanning city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which means "to sing with Wu in the world". Historical evolution
In the 33rd year of Emperor Qinshihuang (214 BC), this area belongs to Xiang county.
In the third year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (204 BC), this area belongs to Nanyue.
In the sixth year of the Ding reign of the Han Dynasty (111 BC), Lingfang county was in the East and ZengShi county was in the West.
The Three Kingdoms belong to Wu. In the first year of Yuanxing (264), Lingfang county and ZengShi county were changed into Linpu county and Huai'an county respectively. The present district belongs to Linpu county and Huai'an County of Yulin County.
Linpu county and Huai'an county were renamed Lingfang county and ZengShi county respectively during the Taikang period of Jin Dynasty (280-289). This area belongs to ZengShi and Lingfang counties of Yulin County. In 318, the first year of Daxing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Jinxing county was established as Jinxing county. ZengShi county was changed into Zengyi county. Today, Jinxing county belongs to Jinxing county and Zengyi and Lingfang counties belong to Yulin County.

In the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1368), Wuyuan County was moved from geweisu village to the county. Fenghua county was established in the northeast of Liangjiang Township in the sixth year of Zhengde (1511) of Ming Dynasty, and Fenghua county was transferred to Sanli of Shanglin County in the seventh year of Jiajing (1528). Today, the district still belongs to Wuyuan County. It was subordinate to Nanning Prefecture at the beginning, Xinning Prefecture in the sixth year of Longqing (1572), and si'en Prefecture in the fifth year of Wanli (1577).
The Qing Dynasty belongs to Wuyuan County, which is under the jurisdiction of si'en Prefecture.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), si'en Prefecture was withdrawn, and Lu Rongting, a native of the county, was appointed as the governor of Guangxi. He advocated martial arts, which means "to sing for martial arts in the world". Wuyuan County was renamed as Wuming County, and then promoted to Wuming Prefecture. In June 1913, it was renamed Wuming County, and it was subordinate to Yongnan road. In June 1914, Yongnan road was renamed Nanning Road. In June 1926, the Taoist system was abolished and Wuming district was directly under the Guangxi provincial government. In 1930, it belonged to Binyang militia district. During the period of the people's Republic of China, the people's Commission of Wuming was established in October 1949, and Wuming was liberated on December 3, 1949. The name of the county is still Wuming County, and its governance remains unchanged, belonging to the office of the people's Commissioner of Wuming. In 1950, it belonged to Wuming district. In January 1951, it was divided into Nanning special area. In August, it was transferred to Binyang district. In April 1952, it was changed to Yongning special region; in December, it was changed to Guixi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In 1956, it belonged to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Prefecture. In December 1957, it was transferred to Yongning district. In 1958, it belonged to Nanning special district; in December, it merged with Long'an county and was called Wulong county. The county government was in Chengxiang town of Wuming. In May of the next year, the two counties were divided again, and Wuming county was under the jurisdiction of Nanning special region. On October 8, 1983, the State Council approved that Wuming county should be under the jurisdiction of Nanning city.
In 2015, the State Council approved the abolition of Wuming county and the establishment of Wuming District of Nanning city. The former administrative region of Wuming district is the administrative region of Wuming district. The people's Government of Wuming district is located at 245 Xingwu Avenue, Chengxiang town.
