Jianghua Yao Autonomous County Jianghua Yao Autonomous County is a county under the jurisdiction of Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. It is located in the junction of Hunan, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces (regions), adjacent to Guangdong and Guangxi respectively. The geographical coordinates are 110 ° 25 ′ - 112 ° 10 ′ e, 24 ° 38 ′ - 25 ° 15 ′ n, 77.92 km long from north to south, 72.5 km wide from east to west, with a total area of 3248 square kilometers.
As of 2013, Jianghua Yao Autonomous County has jurisdiction over 11 towns, 11 townships, and one state-owned forest farm. It is a minority autonomous county with Yao as the main ethnic group, supplemented by more than 10 ethnic groups such as Zhuang, Han, and Miao. It is the only minority Autonomous County in Yongzhou City, the only Yao Autonomous County in Hunan Province, and the county with the largest Yao population among the 13 Yao Autonomous Counties in China, known as "Shenzhou" Yao capital. As of 2017, the total population of the county is 533900, with 157700 households and 438800 permanent residents.
In 2017, the county's GDP was 1.386 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% over the previous year. In 2017, the public budget revenue was 1.149 billion yuan. In October 2017, it was named National Garden County by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development. On September 25, 2018, it won the honorary title of "2018 e-commerce into rural comprehensive demonstration county" of the Ministry of Commerce. On September 26, 2018, it won the title of "China's natural oxygen bar" in 2018. In April 2019, the people's Government of Hunan Province approved the approval of 13 counties including Jianghua Yao Autonomous County to get rid of poverty. On January 29, 2021, it was selected into the list of areas with remarkable achievements in real work in 2020 announced by Hunan Provincial People's government.
Evolution of organizational system
Jianghua County belonged to Jing and Chu before Qin Dynasty, and Changsha County during Qin Dynasty.
In the sixth year of Yuanding in the Western Han Dynasty (111 BC), Fengcheng county was set up, which was subordinate to Cangwu county and belonged to Jiaozhou.
During the Three Kingdoms period, it entered the eastern Wu Dynasty and was subordinate to He county, belonging to Guangzhou.

In 2005, the government of Tuojiang town moved from Jianghua Confucian temple in Chengnan village to shujiashan in baijiawei village, and the government of Mashi town moved from Caiyuan province to shisandao, Hunan Road.
