Evolution of organizational system
In the Xia and Shang Dynasties, it belonged to Jiqing. Shun divided Qing into Ying, which was transferred to Yingzhou.
King Wu of Zhou Dynasty destroyed the Shang Dynasty. Around 300 BC, this place was transferred to Liaodong County of Yan. The state of Yan was under the jurisdiction of Erlonghu ancient city and Zhenfan barrier fortress. And built Liaodong County Jilin Yan Great Wall.
After the unification of Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Liaodong County of Qin Dynasty.
At the beginning of the Han Dynasty, Buer county was set up in Ji'an, where the government was not able to bear the city (today's Ji'an City). In the third year of Yuanfeng (108 B.C.) of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, four prefectures, Lelang, Zhenfan, lintun and xuantu, were added in the Western Han Dynasty, and Nanai city was managed by Gaogouli County, xuantu Prefecture. In the second year of Jianzhao reign of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (37 BC), Zhu Meng came to Gaogouli County in Hunjiang River basin to establish the local regime of zubenfuyu (later Gaogouli). In the third year of the first year of emperor Hanping (AD 3), he Shenggu city (now near Huanren County in Liaoning Province) moved its capital to the domestic city (now Ji'an City). Ji'an has been the political, economic and cultural center of Koguryo for 425 years.
During the new dynasty, Wang Mang demoted Gaogouli county to xiagouli county because Gaogouli did not accept the assignment.
In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Marudu county was established. During the period when Koguryo was the king's capital in Ji'an today, in addition to maintaining the domestic city, it built wunayan city (marudushan city) in Ji'an today and nearby as the king's capital, and there are records of building Pyongyang city and Donghuang city near the domestic city as the king's capital.
From the end of Han Dynasty to Cao Wei, it belonged to Gongsun Dudong state.
In 274 A.D., the Western Jin Dynasty set up Pingzhou and governed Liaodong, xuantu, and Daifang counties. Ji'an was re assigned to Gaogouli County, xuantu county.
After the Eastern Jin Dynasty, gaogoulichen belonged to the Central Plains dynasties of the southern and Northern Dynasties. In 427 ad, it moved its capital from the inner city of the country to Pyongyang. Today Ji'an is the other capital of Koguryo, still famous in China.
In the first year of Qianfeng (666 AD), the Tang Dynasty regained Ji'an and set up two prefectures in front of and behind the ridge, which ended the 239 year history of Ji'an as the other capital of Koguryo. In 668 ad, Koguryo died. In the Tang Dynasty, an Dongdu Prefecture was set up in Pyongyang. In today's Ji'an, it was changed into a state of gowu, and Marudu county was set up in the territory. Bohai set up Zhengzhou in Ji'an, also known as boiling flow county. In the period of Bohai Sea's prosperity, there were 5 capitals, 15 prefectures and 62 prefectures. Today, the Xijing Yalu mansion was set up in Ji'an. It was soon moved to the riverside area. The four prefectures of Yalu in Xijing are Lingshen, Huan, Feng and Zhengzhou. Now Ji'an was changed into Huanzhou, leading Huanzhou (first known as Marudu county and Huandu county), Shenshui county and Qixiang county.
In 918 A.D., the people revolted against the Bohai Sea with Yalu mansion in Xijing as the center and established "Ding'an state". Today Ji'an is still Huanzhou. In 926 ad, Khitan destroyed the Bohai Sea and established the state of Dongdan, and later changed its name to Liao. In 984 ad, "Ding'an state" was destroyed by Liao Dynasty, and Ji'an was still restored as Huanzhou. Yalu Prefecture was changed to Luzhou, and Huanzhou (now Ji'an) to Liao county.

In the second year of Zhongtong (1261 A.D.), Mongolia set up "wanhufu, which was in charge of Koryo, Nuzhen and Han Army". Huanzhou was still Mongolia before Yuan Dynasty. Since the 20th year of Kangxi (1681), the wicker side wall was officially built in Liaodong. The vast area to the east of wangqingmen and yingebu in Tonghua County was included in the forbidden area, and now Ji'an was within the forbidden area. After nearly 200 years, the ban was lifted in 1860. In 1877, Tonghua, Kuandian and Huairen (now Huanren) were added to the east of Xiuyan. It belongs to the Xingjing Department of Fengtian province (it was changed into Xingjing mansion in the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty). In Ji'an area, Huanren County is in front of the ridge and Tonghua County is in the back of the ridge. In the Qing Dynasty, an inspection yamen was added to Ji'an Tonggou.
