Shouning County Shouning County (ancient Funing Shouning County and Jianning Zhenghe County) belongs to Ningde City, Fujian Province. It is located in the northeast of Fujian Province, in the south of Donggong mountains, in the northeast of Taishun County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, in the northwest of Jingning County and Qingyuan County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, in the east of Fu'an City, in the west of Nanping Municipal He county, Fujian Province, and in the south of Zhouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province It is known as the gateway of the two provinces and the thoroughfare of the five circles.

In the Three Kingdoms period, after the third year of Wu Yong'an (260), it belonged to Houguan County of Jian'an county.
In Jin Dynasty, it belongs to Wenma County of Jin'an county (now lianjiang).
In the Southern Dynasty, the fourth year of Taishi in Song Dynasty (468) belonged to Jinping County, Qi belonged to Jin'an County, and the second year of Chen Guangda (568) belonged to Fengzhou.
Sui Dynasty, kaihuang nine years (589), Wenma merged into the original Fengxian (now Minhou), Fengzhou. Daye three years (607) belong to Jian'an County Min county (now min Hou).
In Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Lianjiang county of Fuzhou, Changxi County of Quanzhou in the second year of Zhou Chang'an (702), Changxi County of Changle Prefecture from the first year of Tianbao (742) to the first year of Qianyuan (758), and then Changxi County of Fuzhou. Gandechang was established in the first year of Kaicheng (836), and Shouning belongs to Changxi county and gandechang. In 933, shenggandechang was located in Ningde county. Shouning belonged to Changxi county and Ningde county respectively, and still belonged to Fuzhou. After the death of Fujian, Fuzhou returned to the state of Wu and Yue.
In the Song Dynasty, in the third year of Xianping (1000), Guanli town in Ningde county was upgraded to Guanli county. In 1115, Guanli county was changed into Zhenghe County. In 1162, Jianning army was promoted to Jianning Prefecture. The northwest of Shouning belonged to Guanli County of Jianning army and Zhenghe County of Jianning Prefecture. In 1245, Changxi was divided into Fu'an County, and the southeast of Shouning was Fu'an County of Fuzhou.
In the Yuan Dynasty, Changxi county was upgraded to Funing Prefecture in the 23rd year of the Yuan Dynasty (1286), and Fuan and Ningde counties were under its jurisdiction. Jianning Prefecture was upgraded to Jianning road in the 26th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1289).
In the Ming Dynasty, the first year of Hongwu (1368), Jianning road was changed into Jianning mansion. In the second year of Hongwu (1369), Funing Prefecture was demoted as a county. The southeast of Shouning belonged to Fuan County of Fuzhou Prefecture, and the northwest belonged to Zhenghe County of Jianning Prefecture. In 1455, Shouning County was set up in the northwest of Fu'an county and in the northeast of Zhenghe County. According to the explanation of Jinxian County, the county was set up because of the annihilation of mining thieves, which means peace. It still belongs to Jianning Prefecture.
In the Qing Dynasty, Funing Prefecture was promoted to Funing Prefecture in 1734, and Shouning belonged to Funing Prefecture.

In June 1914, Shouning belonged to minhaidao, the Marquis of Minhou.

In November 1933, the 19th Route Army of the Kuomintang established the people's revolutionary government of the people's Republic of China in Fuzhou, which divided Fujian into four provinces and two cities. Shouning County is a Fujian Province.
In January 1934, the people's revolutionary government failed, and Shouning returned to Fujian Province.
In July 1934, Shouning belonged to the second administrative region, which established Fu'an.

On July 13, 1949, the 93rd division of the 31st army of the 10th corps of the third field of the Chinese people's Liberation Army liberated Shouning. Shouning County was subordinate to the third administrative supervision district of Fujian Province, and the office of the Commissioner set up Fu'an.
In 1950, the third administrative region was renamed Fuan District, and the office of the Commissioner still set up Fuan.
In 1971, the special office led by Ji Guan moved to Ningde, and Fu'an district was renamed Ningde district. Shouning County was subordinate to the Revolutionary Committee of Ningde district.
In 1978, the Revolutionary Committee of Ningde district was abolished and renamed the administrative office of Ningde district.
In October 2000, Ningde Prefecture was built as a city, and Shouning County belongs to Ningde City.

In August 1949, the people's governments of Pingxi, Aoyang and Xietan districts were established in Shouning County. The system of 11 townships (towns) and 107 guarantors in 1945 is still in use. In the middle of October, the whole county was divided into five districts again and the district office was set up.
In August 1950, Chunchi township was designated as the Sixth District from the third district. In September, the Baojia system was abolished and the county was divided into 81 townships (towns) to establish a new township level political power.
In May 1952, Fengyang township was designated as the seventh district from the Second District, and the number of townships (towns) increased to 84.
On September 28, 1955, with the approval of the provincial people's Committee, the Sixth District was under the jurisdiction of Zhouning County, and the seventh district was merged into the second district. Each district was named after its resident name, namely Aoyang District, Xietan District, Pingxi District, Tuoxi district and Nanyang district.
In February 1956, Pingxi district and Tuoxi District merged into Qinyang district. In March, Aoyang town in Aoyang district and Xietan town in Xietan district were directly under the jurisdiction of the county. The county is divided into 4 districts, 2 towns and 52 townships.
In May 1958, Aoyang district was changed into Kengdi District, with jurisdiction over seven townships. The remaining 12 townships (towns) originally belonging to Aoyang district were directly under the jurisdiction of the county. In August, the whole county was divided into 24 townships (towns), and Xietan and Qinyang districts were retained as dispatched agencies. There are 10 townships directly under the county, 5 townships (towns) under Xietan district and 9 townships under Qinyang district. On September 15, the whole county realized the people's communization, and the original 293 agricultural production cooperatives were transformed into 23 people's communes integrating government and society, industry, agriculture, commerce, and soldiers. Soon it was reduced to 20 communes. On October 19, according to the instructions of the leaders of the provincial Party committee, the whole county established a large commune. The original 20 communes were changed into teams. Tuoxi commune had 9 teams and Daiyang commune had 10 teams.
In February 1970, the residence of Aoyang commune moved to Da'an. In June, Xipu commune moved to Xixi. In July, Haoxi commune moved to the bottom of the pit. Soon after the relocation, they were renamed as Da'an commune, Xixi commune and Kengdi commune.
In July 1981, Daiyang commune was renamed Qingyuan commune.
In March 1983, Chengguan town was renamed Aoyang town.
In September 1984, 12 communes and Aoyang town were changed into 11 townships and 2 towns, including Aoyang and Xietan, with 180 administrative villages and 2 neighborhood committees.
In January 1988, Xiadang township was established in Beikeng, Shangdang, Xiadang, yangxitou and Xishan administrative villages of Pingxi Township, xiapingfeng village of Qinyang Township and some natural villages of Tuoxi township.
On April 17, 2012, Fujian Provincial People's Government approved Ningde city's request for instructions on canceling Xixi Township and establishing Xixi town in Shouning County, and agreed to cancel Xixi Township and establish Xixi town.
On December 5, 2013, Fujian Provincial People's Government approved Ningde city's request for instructions on canceling Pingxi Township and establishing Pingxi town in Shouning County, and agreed to cancel Pingxi Township and establish Pingxi town.
On September 10, 2015, Fujian Provincial People's Government approved Ningde city's request for instructions on canceling Fengyang Township and establishing Fengyang town in Shouning County, and agreed to cancel Fengyang Township and establish Fengyang town.
