Yizhang County Yizhang County, belonging to Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, is located in the south of Hunan Province, in the middle of Nanling Mountains, at the south foot of Qitianling mountain. Yizhang, known as Yizhang in ancient times, was founded in 617 (the 13th year of Daye in Sui Dynasty), with a history of 1400 years. Yizhang was the birthplace of the uprising in southern Hunan led by Zhu De and Chen Yi. 3780 people in the county followed Zhu De and Chen Yi to Jinggangshan. After liberation, 1670 revolutionary martyrs were recognized by the Ministry of civil affairs. Historical evolution
Yizhang was called Yizhang in ancient times, and it got its name because there were two rivers in Yizhang, namely Dazhang and Xiaozhang. Later, he changed Yizhang to Yizhang because he avoided Zhao Guangyi's taboo.
In the 13th year of Daye of Sui Dynasty (617), Hou Liang Xiao MI was called emperor in Jingzhou. He had Chenzhou, which was called Guiyang County. After analyzing the southern border of Chen County, Yizhang County was set up, and yongfuxia Village (today's new village of Matian town) was set up.
In the seventh year of Wude (624), Yizhang County was merged into Chen County; in the eighth year, Yizhang County was restored to Guiyang County of Tanzhou. In the first year of Changshou (692), Yizhang County was divided into Yizhang County and Gaoping County, both of which belong to Guiyang County. Yizhang County is still located in yongfuxia village, while Gaoping County is located in today's Yizhang County. In the 22nd year of Kaiyuan (734), Gaoping was abolished and Yizhang was moved to Gaoping County, belonging to Chenzhou.
In 976, Yizhang County was renamed Yizhang County in order to avoid the taboo of Taizong Zhao Guangyi.
In 1276, Yizhang County belonged to Chenzhou, South Lake Road, Lingbei. In 1277, it belonged to Chenzhou Road, Hunan Road, Hunan Province.
In the first year of Hongwu (1368) of Ming Dynasty, Yizhang County belonged to Chenzhou Prefecture of Huguang xingzhongshu province; in the ninth year of Hongwu (1376), it belonged to Chenzhou Zhili Prefecture of Huguang xingzhongshu province.
