Chuanhui District Chuanhui District, located in the southwest of Zhoukou City, Henan Province, is the seat of Zhoukou municipal Party committee and municipal government, and the political, economic and cultural center of the city. Shahe River, Yinghe River and Jialu River intersect and cross the area. The three rivers are intertwined with each other. They are shaped like a tripod, just like the three towns in Wuhan. They are called "little Wuhan".
By 2019, it has jurisdiction over 10 streets and 2 townships. In 2013, the total area was 338 square kilometers, the resident population was 710 thousand, and the registered residence population was 532 thousand and 800.
Chuanhui district was formerly known as Zhoukou City at the county level. Yongningji, zhoujiadukou, Zhoujiakou, one of the four famous towns in Henan Province, has a history of more than 600 years. In 2013, the GDP of Chuanhui district was 17.205 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2%. Zhoukou Guandi temple is a national key cultural relics protection unit and a national AAA tourist attraction.
Historical evolution
According to historical records, in the early Ming Dynasty, the first market was established in Chuanhui District, named yongningji (now xilaozhai). There are villages in the collection. The collection belongs to Huaining (now Huaiyang county) and Shangshui.
In the early years of Kangxi, Shangshui county set up 24 places. Yongningji and Zhoujiakou in Chuanhui district are one of the places. Chenzhou was originally in Huaiyang County, and moved to Zhoujiakou in 1670.
Before 1948, Zhoujiakou belonged to Huaiyang and Shangshui.
On January 17, 1948, Zhoukou Municipal People's government was established under the jurisdiction of Huaiyang administrative Commissioner's office.
On June 10, 1952, the organizational system of Zhoukou City was abolished and Zhoukou town was changed, which was under the jurisdiction of Shangshui County in Xuchang area.
On November 10, 1953, the system of Zhoukou City was restored and it was still under the jurisdiction of Xuchang district.
On April 7, 1958, the city system was abolished again and changed into Zhoukou town system, which returned to the jurisdiction of Shangshui county.
On June 15, 1965, the regional Commissioner's office of Zhoukou was established in Zhoukou town. Zhoukou town has become the political, economic and cultural center of Zhoukou area. On November 25 of the same year, Zhoukou town was transformed into a county-level system under the jurisdiction of the town and worked with the Shangshui branch office.
On September 26, 1980, the State Council announced Zhoukou as a county-level city.
On June 8, 2000, the State Council approved the abolition of Zhoukou Prefecture and county-level Zhoukou City and the establishment of prefecture level Zhoukou City. The Municipal People's government is stationed in the newly established Chuanhui district. The former administrative region of Zhoukou City at the county level is the administrative region of Chuanhui District, and the District People's government is stationed in the old street.
In 2005, Chuanhui District abolished vegetable Township, Nanjiao Township and biankou Township, and set up corresponding sub district offices (Chengdong, Chengnan, Chengbei and biankou).
In April 2006, with the approval of Henan provincial government, the reconstruction system of Libukou Township in Shangshui county was put under the jurisdiction of Chuanhui District of Zhoukou City.
On June 13, 2011, Henan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved that xuwan township of Huaiyang county should be put under the jurisdiction of Chuanhui District of Zhoukou City. After the zoning adjustment, Chuanhui district has jurisdiction over 12 sub district offices and 2 townships, among which Wenchang sub district, Qiankou sub district and xuwan township are entrusted to Zhoukou East New District for management. The economic and Technological Development Zone consists of Taihao Road office and Huaihe Road office.
On January 12, 2012, Fengzhuang and chaitang villages under the jurisdiction of Taihao Road office in Chuanhui district were put under the jurisdiction of Guan Township in Shangshui county.

Chuanhui is located in the Huang Huai plain, high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Under the action of external forces, the micro landforms of hills and depressions are widely developed, which changes the single form of plain landforms. According to the geomorphological division and grade system of Henan Province, the city is bounded by Shaying River, the alluvial plain of the Yellow River in the north and the alluvial lacustrine plain of the Huaihe River and its tributaries in the south. The annual average temperature in Chuanhui district is between 14.5 ℃ and 15.8 ℃. The average temperature in four seasons is 14.5 ℃, 26 ℃, 15 ℃ and 1.6 ℃ respectively. The extreme maximum temperature is 43.2 ℃ (Zhoukou Town, July 19, 1966), the annual average temperature variation is about 27 ℃, and the annual cycle changes between 0 ℃ and 28 ℃. The temperature increased slightly from 1 ℃ to 2 ℃. The average frost period is 146 days and the frost free period is 219 days.

Chuanhui district belongs to Huaihe River Basin, with Shaying river system. Shaying River is the largest tributary of Huaihe River. Shahe River originates from Shiren Mountain in the west of Lushan County, Henan Province, and Yinghe river originates from Yangqian and Shaoshi mountains in Songshan Mountains. The two rivers converge in sunzui village, Chuanhui District, and flow from west to East.
