Luxi County, located in the west of Jiangxi Province, is the east gate of Pingxiang City. It intersects Yuanzhou District of Yichun City in the East, Anfu county and Lianhua County in the south, Anyuan District and Xiangdong District of Pingxiang City in the west, and Shangli County in the north. In the period of the Three Kingdoms, Luxi belonged to the state of Wu. In 267, the king of Wu state, SUN Hao, Marquis of Wu Cheng, set up Pingxiang County in the western part of Yichun, which is now the ancient town of Luxi. Luxi became the economic, political, cultural and military center of Pingxiang area, and experienced three kingdoms, two Jin Dynasties, southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties.
In the second year of Wude of Tang Dynasty (619), Pingxiang county was moved to Fenghuang pool in Pingxiang City.
