Suzhou, a prefecture level city in Anhui Province, is a new central city in the intersection area of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan and Anhui provinces. It is located in the north of Anhui Province, in the Yangtze River Delta region, adjacent to the coast, Suqian City and Xuzhou City in Jiangsu Province in the east to the northeast, Bengbu City in the south, Huaibei City, Shangqiu City in Henan Province and Heze City in Shandong Province in the west to the northwest Next door. Historical evolution

In the fourth year of Wude (623), Emperor Gaozu of Tang Dynasty, Xiaqiu county was established as Hongxian; in the sixth year of Wude, Xiaqiu County entered Hongxian and Xiaqiu county was abolished. In 925, Dangshan County belonged to Danzhou. In 958, Xiaoxian belonged to Xuzhou Wuding army.
In 972, in order to strengthen Suzhou's military position, Baojing army was set up, belonging to Huainan road. Xining five years (1072), Huainan road. In the first year of jinxingding (1217), Dangshan County was destroyed by yellow water, and the county government moved to Baoshan town (now Yongcheng city).
Yuan Xianzong seven years (1257), moved back to the old rule. In 1265, Qi County, Linhuan county and Fuli county were merged into Suzhou. Xiaoxian county and YONGGU county were abandoned and Xuzhou was built. Dangshan County was abandoned into Shanxian County because of its sparse population. In the third year of the Yuan Dynasty, Dangshan County was restored, belonging to Jeju. In the fourth year of the Yuan Dynasty, Lingbi County of Suzhou was transferred to Sizhou. In the 12th year of the Zhiyuan Dynasty, Xiaoxian county was restored, belonging to guide Prefecture of Henan Province. In the 13th year of the Yuan Dynasty, Sizhou was transferred to Suzhou from Hongxian county. In the 17th year of the Yuan Dynasty, redial Hong County belonged to Sizhou and Lingbi to Suzhou. In the first year of TAIDING (1324), the Yellow River was running, so the bianqu canal was still connected with the Surabaya River in Xuzhou, and entered the Huaihe River at Qingkou. The bianqu canal in Suzhou was annihilated and the Yongqiao bridge was abandoned.
In 1368, Suzhou (under the jurisdiction of Lingbi county) belonged to Linhao Prefecture, and in 1368, it belonged to Fengyang Prefecture. Hongwu 12 years (1379), Xiaoxian, Dangshan County is south Zhili Xuzhou.
In 1661, Suzhou (reduced to Sanzhou) belonged to the office of Si Fengyang, the left governor of Jiangnan. In the third year of Yongzheng (1725), Sizhou was promoted to Zhili Prefecture. In 1733, Dangshan County and Xiao County belonged to Xuzhou Prefecture of Jiangsu Province. In 1777, Emperor Qianlong moved Sizhou to Hong county. Hong county was merged into Sizhou, which was called Sihong state at first, then Sizhou. The former Hong county was reduced to Hong township. In 1911, the revolution of 1911 broke out and Suzhou recovered on December 16.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Suzhou was changed to Suzhou County, which was under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province, Lingbi county and Sixian County, and Dangshan County and Xiaoxian county were under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province. In 1932, Dangshan County and Xiao County belonged to Tongshan District of Jiangsu Province, while Su County, Lingbi county and Si county belonged to the Sixth District of Anhui Province. In May 1938, the area of Suzhou city was occupied successively. Japanese puppet regime, Kuomintang regime and anti Japanese people's Government coexisted. In 1943, the Japanese and puppets set up Huaihai Province in the northern part of Jiangsu and Anhui, and Suzhou was under the jurisdiction of Huaihai province. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, Su County, Lingbi county and Si county belong to the fourth Office of the Commissioner of administrative supervision of Anhui Province, Dangshan County and Xiao County belong to the office of the Commissioner of Xuzhou of Jiangsu Province. In the 37th year of the Republic of China (December 25th, 1948), it set up a lodging city.
On March 25, 1949, Suxian District was established as the administrative office of Jianghuai border region. In April 1949, the administrative offices of Western Anhui, Jianghuai and Henan Anhui Soviet border regions were abolished, and the people's Administrative Office of Northern Anhui was established. Suxian District is under the jurisdiction of the people's Administrative Office of Northern Anhui.
In 1971, Suxian District was renamed Suxian District. In 1979, the county-level city of Suzhou was established, with some administrative regions of Suzhou County as the administrative regions of the city. (approved by the State Council on September 10, 1979).
In 1992, Suzhou county was abolished and merged into Suzhou City at the county level.
In 1998, the State Council agreed to abolish Suxian Prefecture and county-level Suzhou City and establish prefecture level Suzhou city. The Municipal People's government is stationed in the newly established Yongqiao district. Yongqiao district is established in Suzhou City, and the former administrative region of Suzhou city is the administrative region of Yongqiao district
