Taishun County Taishun County, belonging to Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the south of Zhejiang Province. It is near Cangnan County in the East, Fuding City in the southeast, Zherong County in the south, Fu'an City and Shouning County in the southwest and West, Jingning County in the northwest and Wencheng County in the northeast. Evolution of organizational system
Taishun was established as a county in 1452, the third year of Jingtai in Ming Dynasty. The emperor of Ming Dynasty gave it the name "Taishun", which means "the country is peaceful, the people are peaceful, and the people are obedient".
In history, Taishun was ruled by Wenzhou. In 1452, the imperial court sent troops to suppress the peasant uprising team led by Deng Maoqi and ye zongliu on the border of Zhejiang and Fujian. Therefore, it analyzed the 12 li of 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60 Du of Yixiang Township in Ruian county and the 6 li of 38, 39 and 40 Du of Guiren Township in Pingyang County to govern Luoyang. Emperor Jingtai named Taishun with the meaning of "the country is peaceful, the people are peaceful, and the people's heart is smooth". It is subordinate to Wenzhou Government of Zhejiang Province. In the Qing Dynasty, membership remained unchanged. In 1911, the revolution of 1911 broke out and Zhejiang Province recovered. Taishun was under the jurisdiction of Wenzhou military and government branch.
The first year of the Republic of China (1912) abolished Wenzhou military and government branch. In 1915, it set up Ouhai Road, which belongs to Taishun. In 1916, the road was abandoned and the two-level system of province and county was implemented. The county was directly under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province. In 1921, the implementation of administrative supervision district system, Taishun is the tenth County in Zhejiang Province. In 1922, it was renamed the third special administrative supervision district. In August 1922, it was named Yongjia administrative supervision district after the county where the special administrative region is located. In April 1936, Taishun County was divided into the sixth administrative supervision district (now Lishui District). In 1936, it was returned to the Fifth District (Wenzhou) administrative inspector and Security Command Office.
In August 1949, it was attached to the fifth Office of the people's Government of Zhejiang Province. In 1949, the fifth Commissioner's office was changed from Wenzhou District Commissioner's office to Wenzhou Commissioner's office. In 1967, it was under the jurisdiction of Wenzhou military control commission and branch left joint command of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In December 1968, it was attached to the Wenzhou regional Revolutionary Committee. In September 1978, it belongs to Wenzhou district administrative office. In 1938, Geteng (Shengling), zhangjiayang, zhuojiakeng, dongxitou, shuanggangdu and other villages under the jurisdiction of the first district of Shouning County in Fujian Province were assigned to Taishun, and boundary markers were set up in Qiaotou, dongxitou, shuanggangdu of Shangcun, Lijiashan, respectively. Since then, the two counties are bounded by Dongxi (now known as shoutaixi), covering an area of 9 square kilometers.
In January 1948, Huixi, two townships on both sides of the Strait, wengshan (jiurongcheng township) and Baiyun (jiuxinchuan township) in Baizhang district were part of the jurisdiction of the newly established Wencheng County, covering an area of 180.5 square kilometers. Today, they are Huixi, Shuangxi, Jiyang, Donglong, Yangshan and Guishan townships in Wencheng County.
After liberation, in September 1949, the county was divided into four counties, Baizhang, Luoyang, Sixi and Tainan, with 31 townships (towns). Taishun County is located in the southernmost part of Zhejiang Province, southwest of Wenzhou City, which is the mountainous area of southern Zhejiang and eastern Fujian. Topography and hydrology
The mountains in Taishun are nanyandang and Donggong mountains. The terrain inclines from northwest to Southeast. Baiyunjian in the northwest of Taishun is 1611.3 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Wenzhou. The average altitude of Taishun County is more than 500 meters, which is the highest in Zhejiang Province.
There are more than 100 streams of different sizes, which are densely distributed in vertical and horizontal directions and in multi stem dendritic shape. They belong to the four major water systems of Feiyun River, Jiaoxi River, shachenggang River and Aojiang River. The main streams are Liguang River, Hongkou River, Shiyang River, Shoutai River, Pengxi River and Huijia river. The annual average total water resources is 2.82 billion cubic meters, and in 2012, the total water resources is 3.597 billion cubic meters. Taishun is an important ecological barrier and water source protection area in southern Zhejiang. Two thirds of the water area of Shanxi reservoir in Wenzhou is in Taishun County.
