Xiang'an District Xiang'an District is a district under the jurisdiction of Xiamen City, Fujian Province. On October 19, 2003, Xiang'an District was officially established. It is located in the forefront of the Economic Zone on the west side of the Straits. It is located in the East and north of Xiamen City, borders Quanzhou City in the northeast, and faces Xiamen Island and Jinmen island across the sea in the south. It is located in the center of the "Golden Triangle" of Xiamen, Zhangquan and Minnan.
In September 2003, the division of Xiamen city was adjusted. The former Tong'an District was divided into Tong'an District and Xiang'an District. The Xiang'an peninsula was officially handed over to Xiamen city. The sea area between Xiang'an Peninsula and Xiamen Island has been called Xunjiang port since ancient times, which is the main channel for large ships to enter dongzui port of Tong'an. The whole region is surrounded by the sea on three sides, with a sea area of 134 square kilometers (344 square kilometers in Xiamen), accounting for 39% of the whole city, and a coastline of 75 kilometers.
In November 2018, Xiang'an District was selected as one of the top 100 industrial districts in 2018.

Evolution of organizational system
In 282, Jin Taikang's territory was under the jurisdiction of Tong'an County, Jin'an county. In 468, jin'ping county was analyzed, and Jin'an county was restored in seven years. In the first year of Liang Tianjian (502), Jin'an county was set up as Nan'an county. In the ninth year of kaihuang (589), Nan'an county was changed into Nan'an county.
In the 19th year of Zhengyuan (803) of Tang Dynasty, Datong farm was set up in four southwest townships of Nan'an County, Quanzhou. Today, Xiang'an District is divided into Xiangfeng (including Jinmen) and Min'an, Suide Township, which are under the jurisdiction of Datong farm. In the fourth year of Changxing in the Tang Dynasty (933), after Wang Yanjun became emperor, Datong was promoted to Tong'an County, which is now under the jurisdiction of Xiang'an District.
In Song Dynasty, Xiang'an District is under the jurisdiction of Tong'an County of Pinghai.
In Yuan Dynasty, Xiang'an District is under the jurisdiction of Tongan County, Quanzhou road.
In Ming Dynasty, Xiang'an District was under the jurisdiction of Tongan County, the capital of Quanzhou.
In the 40th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1775), Ma Xiang Ting was first set up. At the end of Qing Dynasty, Ma Xiang Ting was established in Quanzhou Prefecture of Zhili.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Ma Xiang hall was abandoned, and now Xiang'an District returns to Tong'an county. In 1914, Dadeng Island, XiaoDeng Island, dajinmen and xiaojinmen in xiangfengli were located in Jinmen County, which was subordinate to Xiamen road. In 1928, Xiang'an District was established in Tongan County, Fujian Province. From November 1933 to January 1934, Fujian incident was under the jurisdiction of Tongan County, Xingquan Province, the people's revolutionary government of the people's Republic of China. After January 1934, he was attached to Tong'an County, the fifth supervision district of Fujian Province. In 1935, it was transferred to Tong'an County, the fourth Office of the Fujian Provincial Commissioner, until September 1949.
In 1935, Xiang'an District (excluding Dadeng and Xiaodeng) was divided into the Second District of Tong'an county (zhumaxiang), which had jurisdiction over the 10th to 17th office. The 14th Lianbao and 166 Baobao were under the jurisdiction of Tong'an County, while Dadeng and Xiaodeng were under the jurisdiction of Jinmen county. On October 25, 1937, the Japanese army occupied Jinmen, and the county government moved to Dadeng to set up an office. Dadeng and Xiaodeng were still under the jurisdiction of Jinmen county. In 1943, Xiang'an District (excluding Dadeng and Xiaodeng) was divided into one town and five townships (Maxiang Town, minshi, Renfeng, Zhennan, houmu and Gongan township). In 1944, the division was adjusted. Now Xiang'an District (excluding Dadeng and Xiaodeng) is divided into one town and three townships (Maxiang Town, Min'an, Xiangfeng and Gongan township), which are under the jurisdiction of an County, Dadeng and Xiaodeng Under the jurisdiction of Jinmen County, until the liberation of the territory.
In September 1949, in the early days of liberation, Xiang'an District (excluding Dadeng and Xiaodeng) temporarily followed the old system and was under the jurisdiction of Anxian county. From 1950 to 1951, Ma Xiang Town, the Fifth District (Zhuma Xiang) and the Sixth District (Zhuzeng CuO) were set up in Xiang'an District (excluding Dadeng and Xiaodeng), which were under the jurisdiction of an County. After that, the internal division was adjusted and changed many times, and the jurisdiction of Tongan County in Shangli Jinjiang District remained unchanged.
In October 1958, it was attached to Tong'an County, Xiamen city.
In August 1970, today's Xiang'an District (excluding Dadeng, Xiaodeng and Damaoshan state farms) came back under the jurisdiction of Tongan County, Jinjiang District.
In March 1971, two groups of Dadeng commune and Shijing commune, Lianhe and xiasu (now Dadeng street and Xindian town of Xiang'an District), were divided into Tong'an county.
In September 1973, today's Xiang'an District was under the jurisdiction of Tong'an County, Xiamen city.
From May 1, 1997, Tong'an county was abolished and Tong'an District was established. Now Xiang'an District is under the jurisdiction of Tong'an District of Xiamen city.
Since April 26, 2003, the State Council approved the establishment of Xiang'an District of Xiamen City, which is under the jurisdiction of Xiamen city. It has jurisdiction over five towns (Dadeng Town, Xindian Town, Maxiang Town, neicuo town and Xinwei town) in the east of Tong'an District, with a total of six neighborhood committees and 103 village committees.
Since October 19, 2003, Xiang'an District has been officially established.
From December 18, 2003, Damaoshan farm has been under the jurisdiction of Xiang'an District, which is directly owned by the whole people.
In 2005, Dadeng town was abolished and Dadeng street was established.
At the end of 2007, Xiang'an District was directly under the jurisdiction of Xiamen City, with 1 Street (Dadeng Street), 4 towns (Xindian, maxiang, neicuo, Xinwei) and 1 Farm (Damaoshan farm), 81 community neighborhood committees and 30 village committees.
From January 11, 2021, Xindian town and maxiang town will be abolished and Xindian street and Maxiang Street will be established.

Xiang'an District is located in the southeast coast of Fujian Province and the east of Xiamen City, with latitude of 24 ° 32 ′~ 24 ° 50 ′ N and longitude of 118 ° 10 ′~ 118 ° 27 ′ E. The climate of Xiang'an belongs to the south subtropical marine monsoon climate. According to the standard of 5-day average temperature less than 10 ℃ for winter, more than 22 ℃ for summer, and between the two for spring and autumn, there are about 97 days in spring (February 11-may 18), 152 days in summer (may 19-october 17), 87 days in autumn (October 18-january 12) and 29 days in winter (January 13-february 10) Japan). Among them, summer lasts for five months and winter for only one month.

There are 379 species of zooplankton in Xiang'an District, including protozoa, anorectal fauna, chaetopalata, Arthropoda, mollusc and tunica, 76 species of shrimps and crabs, 77 species of shellfish and 420 species of marine fish. Among them, amphioxus, red sea bream, mackerel, pomfret, grouper, prawn, Portunus trituberculatus, cuttlefish without needle, jellyfish and dolphin have higher economic value. There are 4 kinds of shellfish, 4 kinds of marine fish and 3 kinds of shrimps and crabs for cultivation. There are 28 species in 12 families, including 14 species in Cyprinidae. There are Carassius auratus in artificial culture, and shrimps, hairy crabs and mussels in natural proliferation.
