Suqian Economic and Technological Development Zone Suqian Economic and Technological Development Zone, referred to as economic development zone, Suqian Economic and Technological Development Zone, is a functional area under Suqian City, Jiangsu Province. It is an important part of Suqian central city. It is the first national economic development zone in Suqian City. It is located in the south of Suqian central city and the north central part of Sucheng District, with an area of 118.27 square kilometers. By the end of 2019, three streets and one township in Sucheng district will be managed by the economic development zone, with a population of about 200000. The Management Committee of the economic development zone will be located in Huanghe street.

The economic development zone was founded in 1998. After several administrative changes, in 2002, Liyuan, Zhuwei and Qianan of shuangzhuang town were included in the economic development zone; in 2004, Huanghe and guchu communities were set up under the economic development zone to manage some villages in sankeshu Township, shuangzhuang town and Gengche town respectively; in 2007, sankeshu township was included; in 2013, Nancai township was included. The economic development zone has convenient transportation, including 250 provincial highway, 325 provincial highway, 235 national highway, Suqian branch line of high-speed, Renmin Avenue, development avenue, Zhenxing Avenue, Huanghe Road and other urban main and secondary trunk roads.

The economic development zone mainly develops intelligent household appliances, food and beverage and photoelectric "2 + 1" characteristic industries. By the end of 2017, 42 well-known enterprises had gathered in the smart home appliance industry. Among them, there are 18 complete machine enterprises and 24 supporting enterprises, which have been approved as "provincial advanced manufacturing base" and "China's home appliance industry base"; the food and beverage industry gathers 39 enterprises, which is the food industry base with the most famous brands in Jiangsu Province, and has been approved as "National Food Industry Park".

In 2017, the economic development zone achieved a general public budget revenue of 1.02 billion yuan, a GDP of 12.38 billion yuan, and a total industrial output value of 19.5 billion yuan.

Historical evolution

In 1998, Suqian Economic Development Zone began to prepare for construction. In April of the same year, the 31st executive meeting of the first session of Suqian Municipal People's Government deliberated and passed the resolution of preparing for the construction of the Development Zone, and agreed to allocate 300000 yuan as the start-up cost and borrow 10 million yuan to start the construction of the zone. In June of the same year, the CPC Suqian Municipal Committee agreed to establish the CPC Suqian Economic Development Zone Working Committee and the Suqian Economic Development Zone Management Committee. In July, Suqian Economic Development Corporation was established.

In 2013, the economic development zone was upgraded to a national economic and Technological Development Zone.

In 2000, it hosted three residential communities in the city, road and Zaoyuan of Gucheng street, Sucheng district.

In 2002, the people's Government of Suqian City included Liyuan, Zhuwei and Qianan into the development zone.

In 2004, the development zone consists of Huanghe community and guchu community. Huanghe community governs Chengzhong, Zaoyuan, Liyuan, Daokou and Zhaozhuang (Liyuan and Daokou belong to shuangzhuang town and Zhaozhuang to Gengche town), and guchu community governs Zhuwei, Qianan, Wangli, luotutang and Xuwei neighborhood committees (Zhuwei and Qianan belong to shuangzhuang Town, luotutang to sankeshu town and Liyuan and Xuwei to Gengche town).

In 2006, sankeshu township of Sucheng district was incorporated into the economic development zone.

In 2013, Nancai township of Sucheng district was incorporated into the economic development zone.

The industrial structure has been continuously optimized. The output value of high-tech industries and the sales revenue of emerging industries increased by 13.3% and 11.2% respectively on a year-on-year basis. The proportion of high-tech industries in industries above designated size increased by 1.4% and 0.9% respectively, and the energy consumption of industrial added value per 10000 yuan decreased by 7.7%.

Suqian Economic and Technological Development Zone has formed five characteristic industries, including optoelectronics, new materials, food and beverage, textile and clothing, machinery and electronics. National famous enterprises such as beverage, dairy products and fruit juice gather in food industrial park; famous enterprises such as solar energy and plastic bag industry gather in emerging industrial park; famous enterprises such as textile, ribbon and clothing industry gather in textile and clothing industrial park.

Industry Overview

As of February 2018, the park has gathered domestic well-known electronics, electrical appliances, mold manufacturers and core supporting enterprises in the industrial chain. In the first half of 2016, the output value of smart home appliance industry reached 2.2 times of that of the same period of last year, and the leapfrog growth trend was highlighted.

As of February 2018, a large number of well-known food enterprises at home and abroad have gathered in the park. In August 2010, the food industry park was officially approved as "National Food Industry Park" and "national food industry manufacturing base". In 2015, the total output value of the food and beverage industry exceeded 50 billion yuan, which is the first industry with an output value of more than 50 billion yuan in Suqian. It is also the food industry base with the most famous brands in Jiangsu Province.

As of February 2018, we have focused on the development of LED semiconductor lighting, photovoltaic, photothermal, laser display and other optoelectronic industries, and established cooperative relations with well-known enterprises in the industry. In 2015, the new optoelectronic technology center will be put into use.

In the 2016-2017 school year, the education work of Economic Development Zone ranked the top three among the three counties and nine districts in the city. In 2017, the Economic Development Zone lifted 1025 low-income people from 334 households out of poverty, and the collective economic income of the two economically weak villages was more than 180000 yuan. History and culture

Qianda Temple Fair

The former Da'an Temple Fair has a long history. It is understood that since the Qing Dynasty, the temple fair of qianda'an has been held on the eighth day of the first month of the lunar calendar every year. The temple fair has become a major event for the surrounding people. On May 17, 2005, at the 28th executive meeting of the second session of Suqian Municipal government, qianda'an, an ancient temple that has experienced a hundred years of vicissitudes, was identified as a cultural relic protection unit of Suqian City. In response to the requirements of the majority of residents and the inheritance of folk culture, qianda'an Temple Fair has been changed from one day to three days since 2018, and the meeting day has been changed from the eighth day of the first month in previous years to three days in total.
