Suxian District Suxian District, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, the municipal district and municipal government resident, also known as "Fucheng". It is located in the south of Hunan Province, the middle of Chenzhou City, and the upstream of Leishui, a tributary of Xiangjiang River. It is located at 112 ° 53 ′ 55 ″ - 113 ° 16 ′ 20 ″ E and 25 ° 30 ′ 21 ″ - 26 ° 03 ′ 29 ″ n. It spans 37.4 km from east to west and 61.0 km from north to south. It borders Yongxing County in the north, Zixing City in the East, Yizhang County in the South and Beihu district and Guiyang County in the West.
Suxian District, named as "the 18th blessed place in the world - Suxianling scenic spot", has jurisdiction over 6 streets and 8 towns. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Chenzhou City. The district Party committee and the district government are located at No. 6, Suyuan East Road, Chenzhou City, 322km north to Changsha and 374km south to Guangzhou. The Zixing Chenzhou Guiyang high-grade highway runs from east to west, the Beijing Zhuhai Expressway, the Beijing Guangzhou double track railway and the national highway 107 run from north to south.
On January 29, 2021, it was selected into the list of areas that have achieved remarkable results in the year of 2020 announced by the people's Government of Hunan Province (the "three noes" in the province's petition work have been created to meet the standard of counties and cities).
Historical evolution
During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, the state was Chu.
In the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), Chen county was established as Changsha County.
In the fifth year of Gaozu (202 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty, Guiyang County was divided into counties in the south of Changsha County. Chen county was subordinate to Guiyang County of Jingzhou, and its county was governed by the county. Since then, Chen county has been governed by county, prefecture, army, road, government and district.
In the first year of the founding of the people's Republic of China (Wang Mang), Guiyang County was changed to Nanping County, and the county government moved to nanpingting (now Leiyang). Chen county changed its name to Xuanfeng county.
In the 35th year of Emperor Guangwu's founding in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Nanping County was renamed Guiyang County, Xuanfeng county was renamed Chen County, and it was subordinate to Guiyang County of Jingzhou. The county government was transferred to Chen county.
In the Three Kingdoms (220-280), Chen county was established in the same way as in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and it was subordinate to the state of Wu, Jingzhou and Guiyang County.
Jin (265-420) was still Chen County, subordinate to Guiyang County of Xiangzhou. In 507, Emperor Liang Wu of the Southern Dynasty changed Guiyang County to Chenzhou (the name of Chenzhou began here). Soon, it was renamed Guiyang County, and Chen county was subordinate to Guiyang County of Hengzhou.
In 589, Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty changed Guiyang County to Chenzhou. In 607, Chenzhou was renamed Guiyang County. In the 12th year of Daye (616), Guiyang County was changed to Chenzhou. In 617, Chenzhou was renamed Guiyang County. Chen county is under the jurisdiction of Guiyang County.
In 622, Guiyang County was changed to Chenzhou. Wude seven years (624), again known as Guiyang County. In the 22nd year of Kaiyuan (734), Guiyang County was transformed into Chenzhou. In 742, Chenzhou was transformed into Guiyang County. In the first year of Qianyuan reign of suzong (758), Guiyang County was changed to Chenzhou, and the prefecture government was moved to pingyangting. In 820, Xianzong moved back to CHENXIAN county. In the Tang Dynasty, Chenzhou and Guiyang counties successively belonged to Tanzhou, Jiangnan Road, Jiangnan West Road and Tanzhou.
In the first year of Tianfu (936), Emperor Gaozu of the Late Jin Dynasty, Chenzhou changed its name to dunzhou and CHENXIAN changed its name to Dunhua. In the third year of Qianyou (950), dunzhou was restored to Chenzhou and Dunhua county to CHENXIAN. Chen county is subordinate to Chenzhou.
In the first year of Qiande (963), Emperor Taizu of the Song Dynasty, Chenzhou was changed into Chenzhou army, and CHENXIAN county was subordinate to Chenzhou army in Hunan Road of Jingzhou.
In 1276, the army of Chenzhou was changed to Chenzhou, and CHENXIAN county was renamed Chenyang county. In 1277, Chenzhou was changed into Chenzhou road. Chenyang county was under the jurisdiction of Hu Guang Xing, Hunan Road, Chenzhou Road, Zhongshu province.
In 1368, Chenzhou road was changed into Chenzhou Prefecture, and in 1376, Chenzhou Prefecture was changed into Chenzhou Zhili Prefecture, which was under the jurisdiction of Hu Guang Xing province. Chenyang county was abolished, and the county was transferred into Chenzhou Zhili Prefecture, which was directly under the jurisdiction of the prefecture.
In the Qing Dynasty, Chen county was established in Tongming, which was under the jurisdiction of Hengyong Chengui road in Hunan Province.
In September 1913, Chenzhou was abolished as Zhili Prefecture, and CHENXIAN county was set up directly under the central government. It was under Hengyang road in the following year. In 1922, the system of Taoism was abolished in Hunan Province. In December 1937, Chen county was subordinate to the eighth administrative supervision district of Hunan Province. In April of 1940, the eighth administrative supervision district was changed into the third administrative supervision district, under the jurisdiction of Chen county.
On October 7, 1949, Chen county was liberated and managed by Hengyang district. In November this year, Chen county was under the jurisdiction of Chen county. In November 1950, it was attached to Chenzhou district. In November 1952, it was under the jurisdiction of southern Hunan administrative region. In July 1954, it was under the jurisdiction of Chen county. In July 1960, it was attached to Chenzhou district. In March 1967, it was under the jurisdiction of Chenzhou. In March 1995, Chenzhou Prefecture was abolished to establish Chenzhou City, CHENXIAN county was abolished to establish Suxian District of Chenzhou City.
In 1996, Suxian District covers an area of 1374.4 square kilometers and has a population of about 327000. It has jurisdiction over 2 streets, 7 towns and 10 townships: Suxianling street, Nanta street, Bailudong Town, Liangtian Town, aoshang Town, bailutang Town, Qiaokou Town, Xujiadong Town, qifengdu Town, liaojiawan Township, dengjiatang Township, dakuishang Township, Tangxi Township, Wulipai Township, Taiping Township, liaowangping Township, gangjiao Township, Matouling Township and Heyeping township. The district government is located in Jujing road.

In May 2002, Wulipai township was abolished and Wulipai town was established. In August 2002, the district had jurisdiction over 2 streets, 8 towns, 9 townships, 19 communities, 24 neighborhood committees (including 6 family members committees) and 170 administrative villages.
In 2009, according to the spirit of the notice on Trusteeship of Chenzhou Nonferrous Metals Industrial Park (Chenzhou export processing zone) to bailutang Town, Suxian District (Chen ban Zi No. 75), Chenzhou Nonferrous Metals Industrial Park (Chenzhou export processing zone) was established to trusteeship bailutang Town, Suxian District on the premise that the organizational system of Suxian District remained unchanged Baishui village and Guanshandong village are under the management of Bailudong town in Suxian District.
