Linghe District, located in the east of Jinzhou City, is subordinate to Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Jinzhou City, and the core urban area of the central city of western Liaoning coastal economic zone. It starts from central street and Renmin Street in the west, adjacent to Guta District; ends at Zijingshan in the East, adjacent to Linghai city; ends at Xiaolinghe in the south, adjacent to Songshan new district; and ends at Taihe District in the north.
In 2010, the total area of Linghe District was 41 square kilometers, accounting for 58.41% of the main urban area. In 2010, the permanent resident population was 410000, and the floating population was 60000. It has jurisdiction over 11 streets. In 2013, the GDP of Linghe District reached 10.55 billion yuan, an increase of 9% compared with 2012.
In 2007, Linghe District won the title of "double support model district of Liaoning Province". There are Jinzhou Antique City, Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall, Sansheng temple and other tourist attractions.
History of construction
In July of 1662, the first year of Emperor Kangxi, the Qing government changed Jinzhou into Jinxian. Linghe District belongs to it. In the third year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Guangning Prefecture was established. Jin county was changed into Guangning Prefecture. In the fourth year of Kangxi reign, he moved to Jinzhou and ruled Jinxian county. Jinxian county was changed to be attached to Jinzhou Prefecture as Fuguo county. In 1900, the Jingfeng railway was built to Jin county. It was not until 1902 that the Russian army returned Jingfeng road and withdrew from Jinzhou. In March of the third year of Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty (1911), Jinzhou Prefecture was under the jurisdiction of Linghe District. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the government of the Republic of China changed Jinzhou Prefecture into Jinxian County, which was subordinate to Liaoshen road in Fengtian province. Linghe District is under the jurisdiction of Lijin County. In 1919, the Baojia system was implemented in Jinxian county. Linghe District is under the jurisdiction of Jinxian Chengguan first security (resident Dongguan), the fifth security (resident wuliyingzi). On January 3, 1932, the eighth division of the Japanese invading army occupied Kam county. Set up the puppet Jin county office. On December 1, 1937, the puppet Manchuria implemented the new market system, and set up Jinzhou City by dividing the four suburban villages on the first street of Jinxian county. Linghe District became a part of Jinzhou City. On April 1, 1938, the puppet Jinzhou Municipal Office divided the four suburban villages on 1st Street of Jinzhou City into 12 districts. Among the districts under the jurisdiction of Linghe District were Xiangyang, Zhengyang, Xiehe, Guandong, Ziming, etc. On August 15, 1945, Japan announced its unconditional surrender. The working committee of Jinzhou City of the Communist Party of China sent a working team to take over the offices of the puppet Manchuria districts. On November 26, Kuomintang troops occupied Jinzhou. On January 4, 1946, the Kuomintang established the Jinzhou Municipal Government in the office building of Jinzhou Municipal Office. On October 14, 1948, the Chinese people's liberation army launched a general attack on the Kuomintang garrison in Jinzhou. The Kuomintang garrison was defeated and retreated to the old city. Linghe District was liberated. In January 1949, the western Liaoning provincial government was established. In May, the city was divided into seven districts. Linghe District is under the jurisdiction of the third district, the fourth district and the Fifth District. On May 21, 1954, the third district street was adjusted and Bajiazi street was abolished. The area south of Jiefang Road under the jurisdiction of the former street was divided into Longjiang street, and the area north of Jiefang Road was divided into Jintie street; the Tiexin residents committee and xiaomajiawazi residents committee under the jurisdiction of Liuhua Street were divided into Tiebei district. After the street adjustment, the third district has four streets, Longjiang, Jintie, Juyuan and Liuhua. In January 1956, the urban division was adjusted, and the three administrative streets of Tiebei District, namely Zhengda, Laobao and Tiexin, were merged into Jintie district. At the same time, all street offices are renamed sub district offices. On September 16, 1958, Juyuan street was merged into Jintie street and Laobao Street into Zhengda street. In March 1959, the administrative planning of Jinzhou City was adjusted: Jinhua District was abolished, and the area to the east of Central Street originally belonging to Jinhua District was divided into Jintie district. Linghe District is located in the eastern half of Jinzhou City, adjacent to Guta District from central street and Renmin Street in the west, Linghai city from Zijingshan in the East, Songshan New District from Xiaolinghe in the South and Taihe District in the north. The total area is 41 square kilometers.
topographic features
Linghe District is high in Northwest and low in Southeast. The north part of the railway is a low hilly area, while the south part of the railway is flat except that the Jintie sub bureau is an extension of the northern hilly area. The area near the river bank in the southeast is slightly low-lying, and the area near the municipal thermal power plant is the lowest in the region.

Linghe District has a temperate monsoon climate, warm and humid in spring, hot and rainy in summer, cool and suitable in autumn, cold and less snow in winter. The average annual rainfall is about 685 mm, mainly in July, August and September. The frost free period is about 171 days, the freezing period is about 3-4 months, and the maximum freezing depth is 1.1-1.2m.
hydrology
There is Xiaoling River in Linghe District. Xiaoling river originates from the east foot of Louzi in the northeast of Jianchang County, Liaoning Province, with a total length of 206 km. The flow section in Jinzhou starts from the mouth of Guanyao and finally flows into Bohai Sea.
