Nanhe District, formerly known as Heyang and Jiahe, belongs to Xingtai City, Hebei Province. It is located in the east of Xingtai City, between east longitude 114 ° 36 ′ - 114 ° 52 ′, and north latitude 36 ° 55 ′ - 37 ° 06 ′. In the fifth year of Gaozu (202 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty, Chi county was divided into Nanhe county and Chaoping County, both of which were subordinate to Julu County. Among them, Nanhe county government is now Heyang Town, and Chaoping county government is now in the south of kuoping village. In the second year of Zhongyuan (144 BC), Guangping county was divided into Julu County, and Nanhe county and Chaoping County belonged to Guangping county. In the second year of Emperor Wu's Zhenghe (91 BC), Prince Yan of Zhao Jingsu (the grandson of emperor Jing) was granted the title of Pinggan king. Guangping county was taken as the state, and Guangping state was changed into Pinggan state. Nanhe county and Chaoping County belong to Pinggan state. In April 1958, Xingtai district was abolished, and Nanhe county was assigned to Handan district; in December 1958, Nanhe County, Ren county, Guangzong County, and Pingxiang county were abolished, and the administrative regions of the original four counties were merged into Julu County, known as "Julu County".

In the Ming Dynasty, Nanhe county had 13 Li households and 17 communities.
