Gongjue County Gongjue county is located in the east of Tibet Autonomous Region and Changdu City, across the river from Sichuan Province. The total area is 6323.11 square kilometers. The total population is 40000 (2003). County People's Government in Moluo town.

In 2014, the county has one office (deputy department level), one town and eleven townships, one town and five townships in Gongjue District, namely Moluo Town, Xiangpi Town, hajia Town, Awang Town, Latuo town and zeba town; and six townships in Sanyan District, namely xiongsong Township, Mindu Township, Keri Township, Luomai Township, Muxie Township and Shadong township. Sanyan office is located in Mindu township.

Gongjue Tibetan means "Gong" living Buddha settled in "Jue". Before the democratic reform, Gongjue was divided into Gongjue sect and Sanyan sect, belonging to 28 in Changdu. On October 1, 1959, the people's Government of Gongjue county was established. At the end of 1966, the county moved from Moluo village to kasha.

On December 9, 2019, the people's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region approved Gongjue county to withdraw from poverty-stricken counties (districts). China's top 100 water purification counties and cities in 2020.

Before the democratic reform, Gongjue was divided into Gongjue sect and Sanyan sect, belonging to 28 in Changdu. In 1956, it was under the leadership of Jiangda county. Location: Gongjue county is located in the southeast of Qinghai Tibet Plateau, the north section of Hengduan Mountains of Tanggula Mountain, and the West Bank of the upper reaches of Jinsha River. There are many natural disasters in the territory, such as drought, hail, flood, frost, snow, earthquake, landslide, debris flow, sandstorm, etc. the annual average temperature is 6.5 ℃, the average temperature in July is 14.6 ℃, the daily average temperature above 0 ℃ will last 245 days, the frost free period is 85 days, and the annual average rainfall is 480mm. Gongjue county is located in the Hengduanshan gorge area of the southeast three river valley. Gongjue county has complex topography and climate conditions, complex soil types, rich plant species and complex community composition. According to the survey of agricultural land resources in 1987, there are 213 species belonging to 101 genera and 30 families, among which Compositae is the most, accounting for 17.3% of the total, followed by Gramineae, accounting for 15.5% and Cyperaceae, accounting for 6.2%. There are only 3 species of single family, single genus and single species. the vertical change of natural conditions also leads to the vertical change of vegetation, which obviously reflects its vertical distribution. Below 3400 meters above sea level, most of them are coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests in mountainous areas. In this county, they are mainly found in Jinshajiang River Valley, Muxie River Valley, xiongsong River Valley and Luomai River Valley. The vegetation mainly includes hemlock, Pinus tabulaeformis, Pinus yunnanensis, Acer, birch, etc. the herbaceous plants are composed of Poa, Festuca arundinacea, Carex spinosa, Miscanthus sibiricus, thrush nigra and other forest grasses. The vegetation is dense and tall, with an altitude of 3400-4200 meters, and the upper limit of some is as high as 4400 meters. It is an alpine coniferous forest belt, showing that coniferous forests are mostly interlaced with subalpine meadows. The main tree species are Abies squamosa, Picea purpurea, Quercus altissifolia, and most of them form pure forests. They are inlaid with shrubbery forests and distributed between meadows and shrub meadows, which can be used as pasture in winter and spring. The agriculture of Gongjue county is half farming and half grazing. Crops mainly include highland barley, winter wheat, spring wheat, mustard wheat, lentils, peas, rape, Yuangen, etc. Animal husbandry to feed cattle, cattle, sheep, goats, horses, donkeys, mules, etc. The main forest species are pine, cypress and poplar. local products mainly include Ganxiang, Cordyceps, Fritillaria, pilose antler, Tricholoma matsutake and animal products.
