Zhijin County Zhijin County is located in the west of Central Guizhou Central Guizhou economic core area. It is a county under the jurisdiction of Bijie City, Guizhou Province. It is adjacent to Dafang County and Qianxi County of Bijie City in the north, Qingzhen City and Pingba District of Anshun City in the East, Xixiu District of Anshun City in the southeast, Puding County of Anshun City in the south, Liuzhi special zone of Liupanshui City in the southwest, and Nayong County of Bijie City in the West.
Zhijin County is located in the triangle of the intersection of Liuchong River and Sancha River, a tributary of the upper reaches of Wujiang River. The county is 120 kilometers away from Guiyang and 155 kilometers away from Bijie. The lowest altitude is 860 meters, the highest altitude is 2262 meters, and the county is 1310 meters above sea level. The annual average temperature is 14.1 ℃, the annual rainfall is 1436 mm, the annual sunlight is 1172 hours, and the frost free period is 327 days. It is a subtropical monsoon climate.

Historical evolution
Zhijin County belonged to Guifang in Shang and Zhou dynasties, to the state of Zhuo in the spring and Autumn period, and to the state of dayelang in the Warring States period. In Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Hanyang County of Bajun County, in Han Dynasty it belonged to Yizhou County, in Shuhan Dynasty it belonged to Pingyi County of nanzhong County, and in the later period of Shuhan Dynasty it belonged to Luodian state. In Jin Dynasty, it belonged to ningzhou County; in Han Dynasty, it belonged to ningzhou Pingyi County; in later Qin Dynasty, it belonged to ningzhou Yelang County; in song and Qi dynasties, it belonged to ningzhou pingman county.
Liang and Chen belong to ningzhou Jimi Prefecture. In Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Luodian state, and in Song Dynasty, it belonged to Shaoqing Prefecture. In the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to leipo, Mopo, Gaoqiao and shibeidongchang of xuanweisi yixibuxue. In the fifth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1372), xuanfusi was promoted to xuanweifu of Guizhou, and xuanweifu was the Minister of Sichuan. Yongle 11 years (1413), the establishment of Guizhou buzhengshi department, Guizhou Xuanwei Fu, during the county as its jurisdiction. In 1630, xuanweisi was changed to Shuixi xuanweisi.
In the fifth year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1666), the Pingyuan mansion was built on the four rivers of Longgu, DIDU, Duoli and Ajia under the jurisdiction of the Xuanwei Department of Shuixi, and the river was designated as Lijia.
In the 22nd year of Kangxi (1683), the four prefectures under the jurisdiction of Shuixi xuanweisi, namely Dading, Qianxi, Pingyuan and Weining, were adjusted to Dading and Weining. Both Pingyuan and Qianxi prefectures were reduced to Dading prefectures. In the 26th year of Kangxi (1687), Dading Prefecture was established as a prefecture. Dading, Pingyuan and Qianxi belonged to Weining Prefecture. In 1729, Weining Prefecture was reduced to a prefecture, and Dading Prefecture was upgraded to a prefecture. Weining, Pingyuan, Qianxi and Bijie belong to Dading Prefecture. In 1732, Shuicheng hall was set up because of lead mining in Shuicheng. In 1776, Suiren, Shifeng and Chongxin were put under the jurisdiction of Shuicheng hall. Since then, Pingyuan prefecture has jurisdiction over six cities, namely, muen, Taiping, Xianghua, Huaizhong, Xingwen and Dunren Li until the Republic of China.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the government and prefecture system were abolished, and Pingyuan Prefecture was changed into Pingyuan county. At the same time, Liuli was divided into nine districts. In 1914, Pingyuan county was changed into Zhijin County, belonging to Qianxi road. In the fourth year of the Republic of China (1915), ZhuWa chicken farm, bainitang, Lisong, Chunlong, Gejia, Zhuwu and hujiahe, which were originally under the jurisdiction of Shuicheng chongxinli, were put under the jurisdiction of Zhijin County. At the end of 1935, the whole province was divided into 11 administrative supervision districts. Zhijin County was the second administrative supervision district (Anshun). In 1937, the administrative division of the whole province was adjusted again, and Zhijin County was the fourth administrative supervision district (Bijie). In 1941, Nayong County was set up in the fourth administrative supervision area, and part of the western part of Zhijin was assigned to Nayong County. In 1942, the boundary between Zhijin and Nayong counties was established. Since then, the area under the jurisdiction of Zhijin has been basically shaped.
Zhijin was liberated in December 1949 and was subordinate to the office of the administrative inspector general of Bijie district. In 1970, Bijie district was changed into Bijie district, and Zhijin was subordinate to it. At the end of 2011, Bijie prefecture level and county level Bijie City were abolished and prefecture level Bijie City was established. Zhijin County belongs to Bijie City.
In 1996, Zhijin County had jurisdiction over 11 towns, 13 townships and 8 ethnic townships. By the end of 2007, Zhijin County had jurisdiction over 11 towns, 13 townships, 8 ethnic townships, 555 administrative villages and 27 neighborhood committees.
On July 29, 2013, six sub district offices of Jinfeng, Shuangyan, wenteng, Babu, Qimo and Sanjia in Zhijin County were officially established. Chengguan town was abolished and three sub district offices of Jinfeng, Shuangyan and wenteng were set up. Babu town was abolished and eight sub district offices were set up. Qimo township was abolished and Qimo sub district office was set up. Puweng Township and Sanjia Township were merged and set up Sanjia sub district office The town of Maochang and Yinghe township will be abolished and a new one will be set up.
On January 22, 2016, Machang Township, Shaopu Township, xiongjiachang Township, Baini Township, Heitu Township, Banqiao Township and Zhongzhai Township were abolished, and Machang Town, Shaopu Town, xiongjiachang Town, Baini Town, Heitu Town, Banqiao Town and Zhongzhai town were set up respectively. After the township was removed, the Administrative Region and government residence remained unchanged.
On August 2, 2019, Guizhou Provincial People's Government approved Zhijin County to set up Huimin street from Sanjia street.
