The Xia Dynasty was the southern region of Liangzhou and the Western neighbor of Jingzhou.
At the end of Shang Dynasty and the beginning of Zhou Dynasty, it was the southern border of Lu kingdom.
The Warring States period was in the northwest of Yelang state.
In Qin Dynasty, Hanyang county and Pingyi Post Pavilion were set up, belonging to the southeast of Shu county.
In the sixth year of Yuanding reign of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (111 BC), Pingyi County was set up, belonging to Jue county.
In the first year of Zhangwu (221 A.D.) in the Shu Han period of the Three Kingdoms, the governor's office was set up, which became an important political, economic, military, cultural and transportation town in nanzhong region.
In the first year of Jianxing (313) of Jin Dynasty, the county was promoted to county, and Pingyi County was established as the county governance center. In the reign of Jianwen emperor of Eastern Jin Dynasty, Pingyi County was renamed pingman County, and the county governance was also changed to pingman county. From Liu, song, Liang, Chen to Sui Dynasty, the system remained unchanged.
The Tang and Song dynasties were the administrative centers of Luzhou. In the Tang Dynasty, the imperial court implemented Jimi management in southwest minority areas, and established Jimi Prefecture in Luzhou under the name of daotianhe (Yi name "luzheye") in today's qixingguan district. In Song Dynasty, it was established as a small state in Luzhou.
In the Yuan Dynasty, there were pingchi, ande and Bijie Yi (Bijie originated from the Yi language Biji in Chinese), pingchi and ande, respectively. They were in charge of Northwest Guizhou and part of Liupanshui.
In the early Ming Dynasty, Bijie and Chishui were set up to manage Zhenxiong and Weixin in Northwest Guizhou and Northeast Yunnan, Xuyong and Gulin in southern Sichuan. In the 16th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1383), Bijie guards were set up; in the 21st year, chentai guards and Chishui guards were set up; in the 27th year, chentai guards were abandoned. In 1414, Bijie was set up to straighten out the army and prepare the road, and the Deputy envoy of Guizhou was stationed in Bijie. In 1523, he was ordered to patrol guining road and garrison in Bijie to take charge of WUSA, Bijie, Chishui and Yongning. In 1528, the Deputy envoy of Weiqing army in Guizhou Province was stationed in Bijie, and concurrently made four prefectures of Zhanyi Prefecture in Yunnan Province, Wumeng (now Zhaotong City in Yunnan Province), WUSA, Dongchuan and Zhenxiong in Sichuan Province, and Xuanfu department in Yongning.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was the base of Bijie bingbei road and Guixi road. In 1687, Bijie and Chishui were abolished and Bijie county was established. Yongzheng seven years (1729), guixidao in Bijie, jurisdiction of Anshun, Zunyi, Dading, Nanlong four Fu. In the 34th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Guixi road was cut off, patrol road was changed, and Guiyang was moved.
In the Republic of China, in January 1913, prefectures, prefectures and departments were abolished and counties were set up. In April, qianxidao was set up to govern Bijie county. In June 1914, Qianxi road was renamed Guixi Road, which was named Anshun county. He moved to Bijie County in 1917. In 1923, Dao was abolished, and all counties were directly under the provincial government. Since June 1935, Bijie county has been the Fourth District Commissioner Office of administrative supervision.
After the founding of new China, Bijie district of Guizhou Province was established in December 1949, with the office of the Commissioner in Bijie county. In 1970, Bijie district was renamed Bijie district, and the regional administrative office was located in Bijie county. On December 10, 1993, with the approval of the State Council of the people's Republic of China, Bijie county was removed from the county and built into a city (county level). In 2003, Bijie had jurisdiction over 6 sub district offices, 29 towns, 6 ethnic townships, 595 village committees and 16 community neighborhood committees. By the end of 2007, Bijie had jurisdiction over 6 streets, 27 towns, 8 townships (including 6 ethnic townships), 524 administrative villages and 20 neighborhood committees. In November 2011, the State Council approved the abolition of Bijie Prefecture and county-level Bijie City and the establishment of prefecture level Bijie City. Bijie City established qixingguan District, with the former administrative region of county-level Bijie City as the administrative region of qixingguan district.
The origin of the name of qixingguan district mainly comes from the junction of Yangjiawan town and Hezhang County in Guizhou. It is also known as qixingguan, the three famous historical passes in Guizhou, together with Loushanguan and shengjingguan. During the period of Shu Han Dynasty, Zhuge Liang went to Menghuo to the south. He burned a lamp at qixingguan to worship Qixing, begging God to help him pacify the south, restore the Han Dynasty and unify the Central Plains. In February 1936, Xia Xi, director of the Political Department of the sixth Red Army Corps, died here. 2. Add Mayuan sub district office, and put Shuangcheng, Wangcheng, Shuangshu, Mayuan and yangjiatang communities of Shidong sub district office under the jurisdiction of Mayuan sub district office, which is located in Mayuan community;
3. Set up Bihai sub district office, and put Pingqiao, casserole, qiansuo, Longtan, Dianzi, Maocao, Shasha, Xichong, Shaoguan, meizigou, shiliukou, pengjiazhai, zhangjiazhai, shangjiazhai, Dingjiazhai, Hujiayuan, chenjiayuan, baiyanglin and maguohe under the jurisdiction of Bihai sub district office, which is located in Shaoguan village;
4. Cancel liucangqiao sub district office and set up Biyang sub district office and Dexi sub district office. Biyang sub district office is in charge of Dalan and liucang villages of the former liucangqiao office, and the office is located in Dalan village; Dexi sub district office is in charge of Biyu, Houhe, Degou, Jiaxiu and Lanni villages of the former liucangqiao office, and the office is located in Houhe village.
In 2014, the municipal government (Bifu No. 180) approved the establishment of Qinglong Street. In April 2019, Bijie Municipal People's Government approved the establishment of baiyanglin street in qixingguan district.
