Mingshan District Mingshan district is under the jurisdiction of Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, located in the southwest edge of Chengdu Plain. The geographical location is 29 degrees north latitude, 58 degrees to 30 degrees 16 ', 103 degrees east 02, 103 degrees 23', with an area of 614.27 square kilometers, with a total population of 278 thousand and 700 registered residence, 269 thousand resident population, and jurisdiction over the streets of the town. It is 90km away from Chengdu in the East and 13km away from Ya'an in the West.
Mingshan is a subtropical monsoon humid climate zone. The climate is mild, the rainfall is abundant, the frost free period is long, the four seasons are suitable for farming, and the vegetation is luxuriant. The average annual rainfall is 1500 mm, 225 rain days, 80% rain at night and 32% forest coverage.
On October 22, 2018, Mingshan district was selected into the list of national pilot areas for the integrated development of rural primary, secondary and tertiary industries in 2018.
Historical evolution
The famous mountain is located in Liangzhou in summer, Yongzhou and Yandao in Shang and Zhou dynasties, and Qingyi and Hanjia in Han Dynasty. After three kingdoms and two Jin Dynasties, the ownership remained unchanged.
In 553 A.D., the second year of Yuanqin, the deposed emperor of the Western Wei Dynasty, Liang Yuandi of the Southern Dynasty fought with Xiao Ji, the king of Wuling, who was called emperor according to Shu. Liang Qibing fought in Wei, and Wei sent General Wei chijun to attack Xiao in Shu. In August, he conquered Chengdu, where Xiao Ji was based, and was owned by Wei. He settled Mengshan County in Jinya, and governed Shiyang county and Mengshan county. This was the beginning of the construction of Mingshan County.
In 568 ad, Mengshan county was divided into Lizhou and Shenli counties.
In 593 A.D., Mengshan county was changed into Mingshan County. The name of the county is derived from the famous Mengshan County in the territory, which is still in use today.

Because of the confusion in the late Sui Dynasty, the number of registered permanent residence decreased sharply, and the number of prefectures and counties was twice that of kaihuang and Daye. Therefore, the two-level system of prefecture and county should be carried out, including Fuya Prefecture and ling4 counties, including Mingshan.
In the first year of Zhenguan reign of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty (627 AD), according to the shape of mountains and rivers in the whole country, there were ten roads in the world. Jiannan was one of them and led to famous mountain and other counties.
In the first year of Qianyuan (758 A.D.), Yazhou and lingmingshan were restored. After five dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, the former Shu and the latter Shu followed the Tang system. Mingshan still belonged to Yazhou and led the Yongping army.
In the third year of Qiande (965 AD), Emperor Taizu of the Song Dynasty, the land of Shu was pacified, and the county was 198, in which famous mountains were located.
In the Song Dynasty, there were 15 roads in the world at first, then 18 roads and 23 roads. Mingshan is still under the jurisdiction of Yazhou, leading Chengdu Fu Road.
In the Yuan Dynasty, Mingshan was under the jurisdiction of Chengdu Fu Road at the beginning and Jiading road at the second. Later, it was under the jurisdiction of xuanweisidu Marshal's office of Tubo preparatory office in Shaanxi Province and Sichuan Province.
After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, it was set up in the central library. In the 13th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1380 A.D.), Mingshan was subordinate to the Political Department of Chengcheng County, Sichuan Province, and was directly under Yazhou.
In the seventh year of Yongzheng reign (1729 AD), Yazhou was promoted to be a prefecture, leading shangchuannandao and governing Mingshan and other counties.
The Republic of China established and abolished the Taoist system, and set up the government, prefecture, department and county directly under the province. In a few days, he restored the road system and changed the original shangchuannan road to Jianchang Road, leading 28 counties and one of the famous mountains.
In 1916, Chen Yaling, the governor of Sichuan Province, led the troops to guard Yazhou and Mingshan County.
In 1918, the fourth division of Sichuan army took over the defense of Mingshan.
In 1920, Xiong Kewu and Liu Cunhou, the two Yunnan armies, rushed to the fourth division to assist in the battle. The Yazhou defense area was still under Chen Yaling's garrison.
In 1924, Liu Shi fought with Chen Bu, Chen retreated to Yingjing, and Mingshan was garrisoned by Liu Shi.
In the 15th year of the Republic of China (1926 A.D.), Liu Chengxun was appointed as the garrison envoy of Xikang and sent his teacher Liu Guoxiao to garrison Mingshan.
In 1927, Liu Wenhui and Liu Chengxun fought for territory. The two armies exchanged fire. Liu Chengxun was defeated and sent to the field by electricity. The 24th army took over Ya'an and directly controlled Mingshan.
In 1932, a fierce battle broke out between Liu Xiang and Liu Wenhui. The next year, Liu Wenhui was defeated and Mingshan was transferred to Deng xihou defense area of the 28th army. After the unification of Sichuan government, Sichuan was divided into 18 administrative supervision districts, and Mingshan belonged to Ya'an Supervision Administrative Office of the 17th district.
In the 28th year of the Republic of China (1939 AD), Xikang province was established, with Jinjiguan as the eastern boundary of Xikang Province, and Mingshan was listed in the Fourth District of Sichuan Province, Meishan inspector's office.
In 1955, it belonged to Xikang province. In the same year, Sichuan Province and Xikang province were merged, and it was under the jurisdiction of Ya'an special region of Sichuan Province.
In 1989, it was approved as an open county by the State Council.
In January 1950, Mingshan was liberated. Mingshan belonged to Meishan District of Western Sichuan administrative office.
In 1953, the administrative division was adjusted and assigned to Wenjiang District of Sichuan Province.
In January 1955, it was transferred to Ya'an special area of Xikang province; in October, Sichuan and Kangxi provinces were merged, and Mingshan was transferred to Ya'an special area of Sichuan Province.
In 1981, Ya'an district was changed to Ya'an district.
In 2000, Ya'an Prefecture was established as a city, and the famous mountains directly belong to Ya'an City.
On November 6, 2012, Mingshan County was abolished and Mingshan District of Ya'an City was established. The former administrative region of Mingshan County was named as the administrative region of mountainous area.
