Guanghan Guanghan, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, is managed by Deyang City. Hanzhou, also known as Luocheng in ancient times, is one of the first pilot counties (cities) in Sichuan to expand power. It is 19 kilometers away from Deyang City in the north and 20 kilometers away from Chengdu City in the south, and is located at the West foot of Longquan mountains in the northeast of Chengdu Plain. Sanxingdui site in Guanghan is an ancient Shu cultural site about 5000-3000 years ago, which is known as one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of human beings in the 20th century. It shows that the Yangtze River Basin, like the Yellow River Basin, belongs to the mother of Chinese civilization and is known as the "source of Yangtze River civilization".
In Guanghan, there are national key cultural relics protection units Luocheng and Ming Dynasty ancient temple Longju temple, as well as Jinyan lake, fanghu Park, Guanghan Confucian temple, Guanghan dongchan temple, Han Dynasty ancient tombs, as well as the traditional folk custom "Baobao Festival" which has been followed for more than 300 years.

Historical evolution
Guanghan is named after "Guangzhi Hanshui". Around 4800 years ago, the ancestors of the ancient Shu Kingdom worked hard, lived and multiplied in Sanxingdui, a 6 square kilometer area of Nanxing Town, Guanghan City, creating the early splendid ancient Shu culture. Experts believe that Sanxingdui area is likely to be an important capital of the early Shu state. It is very likely that it was the old capital of "Duyu" and "Yufu". It was also the political, economic and cultural center of the ancient Shu state.

In the sixth year of emperor Gaodi of the Western Han Dynasty (201 BC), Guanghan county was established as the first county with 13 counties under its jurisdiction. Chengxiang was established in Luoxian county (now Guanghan City) in Han Dynasty. The world said: "divide Ba and cut Shu to form Qian and Guang.".
In the fifth year of Yuanfeng (106 BC), Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty set up the governor of thirteen prefectures. This was Yizhou, and the governor ruled Luoxian county. Guanghan County moved from Chengxiang (now Guanghan City) to Zitong county.
In the new mang period (9-23 years), Yizhou was changed into yongbu, and the Ministry of animal husbandry was stationed in Luoxian. Change Guanghan county to the capital.
In the 38th year of the reign of Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Yizhou and Guanghan county were restored, and Guanghan County moved to Luoxian county. At this time, Luo County was the governor of Yizhou and Guanghan county.
In 194, Yizhou Prefecture was moved to Chengdu.
During the Three Kingdoms period, the Shuhan regime governed 25 counties of Yizhou, and Guanghan county was subordinate to Yizhou. In the fourth year of Jingyuan (263), the Wei Dynasty destroyed the Shu Han Dynasty and divided Yizhou into Liangzhou. Guanghan county was changed to Liangzhou, while Luoxian county was still governed by the county.
In 266, Liangzhou was set up in Hanzhong and Xindu was set up in Guanghan. Xindu county belongs to Liangzhou, which commands Luo County (now Guanghan City), Shifang County, Mianzhu County and Xindu county. In the sixth year of Taikang (285), Xindu County entered Guanghan county.
During the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420), Guanghan county still belonged to Liangzhou. Guanghan county was moved to the northeast of Suining City. After returning to the old rule of the later Han Dynasty (Eastern Han Dynasty), Luoxian County became the county.
During the northern and Southern Dynasties (420-479), Guanghan county was changed to Yizhou, and Luoxian county was governed by the county.
Yuwenjue destroyed the Western Wei Dynasty and established the Northern Zhou Dynasty (557). Fangting county (now Shifang) merged with Luoxian County, which is still called Luoxian county.
In the first year of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty (581), Guanghan county and Yizhou county were abolished and Shu county was established. Luoxian county was under its jurisdiction. In the Sui Dynasty, Luoxian county government moved to Luocheng town.
In the second year of Wude (619), Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty, Shifang county was divided into Luo County. In 620, Luoxian county and Mianzhu County were located in Deyang county.
In 686, Wu Zetian established Hanzhou in Luo County and led five counties, including Luo, Mianzhu, Deyang, Shifang and Jintang, with Luo County as the state government.
During the period of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms (907-960), the former Shu, the latter Tang and the latter Shu were still established as the Tang system.
In the third year of Qiande (965), Emperor Taizu of the Northern Song Dynasty, Shu was destroyed and Hanzhou was set up. Luoxian, Shifang, Deyang and Mianzhu were four counties under the jurisdiction of Xichuan road. Luoxian was the county. In 1059, Xichuan road was changed to Chengdu Fu Road. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Hanzhou was still established, and Lingxian was the same as that in the Northern Song Dynasty.
In the first year of Zhongtong (1260), the emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty restored Hanzhou, led Shifang, Deyang and Mianzhu counties, abolished the system of Luoxian County, which was under the direct control of Hanzhou and governed by Luoxian county. In 1362, Yuzhen of the Ming Dynasty established Daxia state and restored Luoxian county.
In 1371, Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty destroyed the state of Daxia. In the same year, Luoxian County entered Hanzhou and still led the three counties, belonging to Chengdu Prefecture. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Xianzhong established the Daxi political power in Sichuan.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was still the Ming system. In the 26th year of Kangxi (1687), Hanzhou was demoted to Sanzhou (Danzhou), no longer governing counties, but subordinate to Chengdu government, which continued to the first year of the Republic of China.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the state was abolished and the county was changed into a county. Hanzhou was changed to Guanghan county (named after Guanghan county), belonging to West Sichuan Road (changed to Xichuan road the next year, ruling Chengdu). In 1928, the road was abolished and Guanghan county was directly under the provincial government. In the spring of 1929, the Sanxingdui site in Guanghan was discovered. During the period of the Republic of China, it was the defense area of Deng xihou. In 1935, Guanghan was a county under the jurisdiction of the 13th administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province.
In 1950, it belonged to Mianyang special area.
In 1953, it was transferred to Wenjiang District.
On April 29, 1960, Shifang county was incorporated into China.
On January 1, 1963, Shifang county was restored.
In 1968, Wenjiang District was renamed Wenjiang area, and Guanghan county was under the jurisdiction of Wenjiang area.
At the beginning of 1978, the goldfish commune of Guanghan County explored and tried out the responsibility system of joint production and remuneration, which became one of the birthplaces of China's rural economic system reform.
In April 1980, Guanghan Xiangyang took the lead in taking off the brand of "people's commune" and replacing it with the brand of "township people's government". This shocking move touched the amendment of the constitution, changed the rural political system, and set off a new wave of rural reform in the country. Therefore, Xiangyang is known as "the first township of China's rural reform".
On March 3, 1983, Wenjiang District was abolished and Guanghan City was incorporated into Chengdu City.
On April 1, 1983, the Sichuan provincial Party committee and government agreed to the report of Deyang County on its application for the construction of a prefecture level Deyang City, and informed Guanghan county to participate in the preparatory group for the construction of Deyang City. On June 14, the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Sichuan Provincial People's government formally submitted a report to the State Council.
In August 1983, the State Council approved the establishment of prefecture level Deyang City, and Guanghan county was transferred from Chengdu City to Deyang City.
On February 24, 1988, the State Council agreed to abolish Guanghan county and establish Guanghan City at the county level. The former administrative region of Guanghan county is the administrative region of Guanghan City. Guanghan City is directly under the central government of Sichuan Province and managed by Deyang City.
