Changshou District is the only district (city, county) named after "Changshou" in China. Changan County was first set up in Shu Han Dynasty, and Lewen county was set up in Tang Dynasty. It was named after "Changshou mountain in the northeast, with many people living under it. Changshou county was changed to Changshou County in 1363 ad, and was set up as a district in 2001. There are many famous historical figures, such as Qin Dynasty female industrialist Ba widow Qing, Song Dynasty Deputy scholar Qiao Ding, and modern martial arts novel founder huanzhu building owner Li Shoumin. Historical evolution
As early as 7000 years ago, there were indigenous people living in Changshou. To the Zhou Dynasty (11th century BC), "Ba people" established Ba state in Chongqing, Eastern Sichuan, Northern Guizhou, Western Hubei and other places, and established its capital in today's Chongqing Yuzhong. When longevity, it was called Zhiyi of Ba state.
In the ninth year of gengyuan (316 BC), King Huiwang of Qin Dynasty destroyed Ba and built Badu county (today's Chongqing). He set up Zhi county in Zhidi (today's Zhili Township in the east of Fuling City). Today's Changshou county belongs to Zhi county.
In the Shu Han Dynasty (220-263 A.D.), Yizhou of Ba County ruled Jiangzhou County, and Liu Bei, the former Emperor, set up Chang'an County (belonging to Zhixian county) near today's Changshou city. In the third year of Wumin (561) of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Zhixian county was abandoned, and its place was Baxian county.
In the early years of Wude in Tang Dynasty (614), Wenshan County was located in the west of the county, belonging to Nanshu Prefecture. In the second year of Wude (615), Lewen county was set up. Because of its normal temperature, early maturity and folk music, it was named as Lewen County, which belongs to Nanshu Prefecture, and Yongan County in the southwest of the county, which belongs to Fuzhou. In the ninth year of Wude (622), Lewen county was transferred to Fuzhou. In 734, Yong'an county was abolished and merged into Le'an county. It belongs to Shannan West Road.
In 1070, Wenshan County was abolished, changed to Wenshan Town, and merged into Lewen county.
In 1283, Lewen county was incorporated into Fuzhou. It belongs to Sichuan Province and other provinces.
At the end of Yuan Dynasty, Yuzhen of Ming Dynasty and her son Ming Dynasty established a peasant regime in the 10th year of their rise to Shu (1361-1371 A.D.), which was named Xia and the capital of Chongqing. In September of the sixth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1373), Ming Yuzhen renamed Lewen County Changshou county with the saying that there is Changshou mountain in the north of the county, and there are many people living under it.
In the sixth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1373), Changshou county was assigned to Sichuan Province by Fuzhou, and was under the jurisdiction of Chongqing government.
During the reign of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, there were roads under the province, and Changshou County belonged to Chuandong road. In 1802, the county office moved from Hejie to Xinshu Street (now Fengling community) in the city.
In 1914, Dongchuan Road was changed to Dongchuan Road, and Changshou County belonged to Dongchuan Road. After 1918, Changshou county was divided into Liuxiang and YANGSEN defense areas. In 1928, the county government withdrew from the provincial government. In 1935, Sichuan government was unified. Changshou county is the tenth administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province, and the office of the Commissioner set up Dazhu County.
On December 2, 1949, Changshou county was liberated. On December 18, Changshou County People's government was established.
On January 23, 1950, the eastern Sichuan administrative office ordered Changshou county to be divided into Fuling District from Dazhu district.
On November 3, 1952, Sichuan Provincial People's government announced that Changshou county was under the jurisdiction of Chongqing.
On January 1, 1953, Changshou county was rezoned as Fuling District of Sichuan Province.
On April 17, 1959, the people's Committee of Sichuan Province announced that Changshou county would be rezoned under the jurisdiction of Chongqing Municipality. In 1997, Chongqing was directly under the central government and its membership remained unchanged.
On December 25, 2001, with the approval of the State Council, the county was divided into districts. Changshou District of Chongqing was established on April 9, 2002.

After the adjustment, the average area of streets and towns has increased from 39.6 square kilometers to 79.1 square kilometers, and the average population has increased from 24290 to 48581.
