Qijiang District Qijiang district belongs to Chongqing City, located in the south of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Sichuan Basin and Yunnan Guizhou Plateau. Qijiang district is adjacent to Nanchuan District in the East, Xishui County and Tongzi County of Zunyi City in Guizhou Province in the south, Jiangjin District in the West and Banan District in the north, covering an area of 2747.8 square kilometers. Historical evolution
In the pre Qin period, Qijiang belonged to the state of Ba.
In Qin and Han Dynasties, it was Jiangzhou county. In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC) of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, it was the territory of Mulian county. Western Wei and Northern Zhou belong to Jiangyang county. In the Sui Dynasty, it was Jiangjin County.
In the second year of Wude (619), Jiangjin County was divided into Nanzhou, Longyang, Fuhua, Longwu, Danxi, and Lingshui counties. In 620, it was renamed Bozhou. In 621, it was renamed Bozhou. Zhenguan five years (632 years), home Sanxi County, under the southern state. Zhenguan seven years (634), home Lanshan, Dangshan, guide, Wenxi four counties, belonging to Nanzhou. In the early years of Qianyuan Dynasty (758), it was renamed Nanzhou, which was subordinate to the governor's office of Daoqian Prefecture in Jiangnan (now Pengshui County).

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Qijiang County was still set up as Chongqing government. They successively belonged to Kuizhou Road (one of the four Chuanxia roads, governing today's Fengjie), Sichuan Xingzhong Shusheng, and Sichuan Chengbao minister.
At the beginning of the Republic of China, Qijiang County was subordinate to Chongqing Shu military government, Chongqing Zhenfu government and Chuandong Road (later changed to Dongchuan Road); in 1927, Qijiang County was the defense area of the 21st army of the National Revolutionary Army; in 1935, after the unification of Sichuan government, Qijiang County was the third administrative supervision area of Sichuan Province.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Qijiang County first belonged to Bishan special district of East Sichuan administrative region; in 1951, Bishan special district was changed to Jiangjin special district, and Qijiang County still belonged to Jiangjin special district; in 1953, after the administrative region was abolished and Sichuan Province was restored, Qijiang county still belonged to Jiangjin special district.
In 1956, two villages in Qijiang County were assigned to Wushui County, Guizhou Province. In November 1958, Qijiang County was under the jurisdiction of Chongqing City, Sichuan Province.
In 1979, five Township production teams in Qijiang County were assigned to Xishui County, Guizhou Province, and three production teams in Xishui County were assigned to Qijiang County. In 1997, Chongqing was directly under the central government, and Qijiang was under the same jurisdiction.
On October 22, 2011, the State Council approved the adjustment of some administrative divisions in Chongqing (Guo Han 129): 1. Shuangqiao District and Dazu County of Chongqing were abolished and Dazu District of Chongqing was established. The former administrative regions of Shuangqiao District and Dazu County are the new administrative regions of Dazu District in Chongqing. Dazu District People's government is located at No. 1, middle section of 2nd Ring North Road, Tangxiang street. 2、 Wansheng District and Qijiang County of Chongqing were abolished and Qijiang District of Chongqing was established. The former administrative region of Wansheng District and Qijiang County is the new administrative region of Qijiang District of Chongqing. On December 26, 2011, Chongqing Qijiang district and Chongqing Wansheng economic and Technological Development Zone were established.

Qijiang area is located in the southeast edge of Sichuan Basin, between the South dipping part of Huaying Mountain and the North extending part of Dalou mountain. The area has developed water system, abundant rainfall and strong flowing water. In addition, under the condition that the paleogeomorphology is developed, leveled, uplifted and eroded again, the inverted topography of syncline into mountain and anticline into Valley is formed. The geomorphic features of Qijiang district are high in the southwest and low in the northeast, high in the edge and low in the hinterland. It is mainly mountainous, cut by rivers, with many deep valleys, broken terrain, more isolated mountains, less complete mountains and large elevation difference. The highest altitude in the area is 1973 meters, which is the peak on the east side of shizicao in Heishan Town, and the lowest altitude is 188 meters, which is the mouth of papaya Creek in Shengping Town, Yongxin town, with an average altitude of 254.8 meters. According to the morphological characteristics of landforms, there are mainly two types of landforms: mountainous and hilly.
The mountainous area of the region is 2015.9 square kilometers, accounting for 73.35% of the total area of the region. According to the altitude, they are middle mountain and low mountain. Zhongshan, with an altitude of more than 1000 meters, is mainly distributed in the southeast and western edge, covering an area of 307.31 square kilometers, accounting for 11.18% of the total area of the region. Low mountains, with an altitude of less than 1000 meters, are mainly distributed in the east-west, southwest and north of the region, covering an area of 1694 square kilometers, accounting for 61.64% of the total area of the region.
Hills are mainly distributed on both sides of the main stream of Qijiang River and on the edge of wanshengba, Xiakouba, guanba and other flat dams, covering an area of 728.18 square kilometers, accounting for 26.5% of the total area of the region. According to the relative height difference, it can be divided into deep mound and medium shallow mound. Shenqiu, with an altitude of 400-700 meters, is mainly distributed in Wenlong, Sanjiao, Xinsheng, Longsheng, Shijiao, Yongcheng, Dongxi, Yongxin, Qushui, Fuhuan, Anwen, Wansheng, Nantong, Qingnian and other towns, covering an area of 456.5 square kilometers, accounting for 16.61% of the total area. Medium shallow hills, with an altitude of less than 400 meters, are mainly distributed in the Qijiang River Valley, wanshengba, Xiakouba, qingnianba, guanba and other flat dams, covering an area of 271.68 square kilometers, accounting for 9.89% of the total area of the region.
River system
There are 225 rivers in Qijiang district. Among them, there are 14 with a drainage area of more than 100 square kilometers, 26 with a drainage area of more than 50 square kilometers, and 40 with a drainage area of more than 20 square kilometers. The total length of rivers in the region is 1713.54 km, the river network density is 0.1178 km / km2, and the total flow volume is 3.97 billion cubic meters.
Qijiang river is the largest river in the region and a tributary of the Yangtze River. It originates from Dayakou, Wanlong village, Shihao Town, Qijiang district and flows into the Yangtze River along the estuary of Jiangjin district. It flows through the streets and towns of Ganshui, Dongxi, Zhuantang, Sanjiang, Wenlong and Gunan, with a total length of 234.7km, a drainage area of 7140km2, a total drop of 1535m, and an average annual flow of 125.8m3/s.
