Lingyun County Lingyun County, formerly known as Sicheng, belongs to Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China. There are four rivers crisscrossing and converging in the city. It is a cultural ancient city with a history of nearly one thousand years. Lingyun county is between 210 and 2062 meters above sea level. There are 365 centenarians in Lingyun County, which is higher than the proportion of the population in the world's long-lived areas. It is the first "national long-lived elderly care and health care base in other places" in China, and enjoys the reputation of "mountain and water town, ancient mansion, Lingyun, livable paradise".
With an area of 2053 square kilometers, the county governs 8 townships (including 4 Yao townships) and 110 administrative villages (communities). There are three main ethnic groups, Zhuang, Han and Yao, living in the county. At the end of 2011, the total population was 195500, and ethnic minorities accounted for 55% of the total population. In 1992, the people's Government of the autonomous region approved to enjoy the treatment of Ethnic Minority Autonomous County. In 2002, the State Council designated it as a key county for the new round of poverty alleviation and development.
Lingyun county has successively won the national, provincial and ministerial honorary titles of "hometown of famous tea in China", "national greening model county", "National Garden County", "national advanced county of safe construction", "national key tea producing county", "national advanced county of" two basic "education in western region" and "Guangxi health county". In December 2018, it won the title of the second batch of national ecological civilization construction demonstration cities and counties.
In March 2019, it was selected into the list of the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization areas and counties. On May 9, 2020, it was approved by the people's Government of the autonomous region to withdraw from the poverty-stricken counties.
Historical evolution
Before the Qin Dynasty, the county was inhabited by people, mainly Zhuang and some ethnic minorities. Historically, it was known as "Liao people", "Li people", "Luo Yue" and so on. It was a part of Baiyue (Baiyue) tribes in Lingnan. In the 33rd year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (214 BC), the Qin Dynasty unified the Lingnan area. Guilin County, Nanhai county and Xiang county are set up, and Lingyun county belongs to Guilin county. At the end of the Qin Dynasty and the beginning of the Han Dynasty, Lingyun was under the jurisdiction of the Nanyue state and belonged to Guilin county. In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC), Lingyun was under the jurisdiction of Yulin County. In the fifth year of Yuanfeng (106 BC), it was under the jurisdiction of Yulin County under Jiaozhou, belonging to ZengShi county. the Three Kingdoms belong to the state of Wu, Lingyun belongs to Yulin County of Guangzhou, and still belongs to ZengShi county. In the Jin Dynasty, Lingyun belonged to ZengShi County, Yulin County, Guangzhou. In the first year of Daxing (318), Yulin group was divided into Jinxing and ningpu counties. Lingyun is located in Zengyi County, Jinxing County, Guangzhou. in the southern and Northern Dynasties, in the song and Qi dynasties, Lingyun belonged to Jinxing County of Guangzhou. Chen Liang, is the South Dingzhou Jinxing county. in the Sui Dynasty, Lingyun belonged to Yulin County of Yangzhou. In the first year of Zhenguan (627), Guangdong and Guangxi are now called Lingnan road. In the 21st year of Kaiyuan (733), Lingnan road was divided into Dongdao (Guangdong) and Xidao (Guangxi). Under the jurisdiction of Lingnan West Road, there are Guiguan, Yongguan and Rongguan. Lingyun belongs to Yongzhou, Jimi and Shuangcheng, and half belongs to Xitong. In the Five Dynasties, Lingyun was under the jurisdiction of Yongzhou, and later was a dependency of the Southern Han Dynasty. Sicheng prefecture has jurisdiction over Lizhou, Chengxian and tangxingzhou. in the early Qing Dynasty, it was Sicheng Zhili Prefecture. Shunzhi 15 years (1658), promoted to Sicheng Fu (Tu Fu). In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Lingyun county was abolished into Sicheng Prefecture according to the regulations of the Provisional Regulations of local officials in Guangxi on the entry of Guozhi County into Sicheng Prefecture. In March 1962, with the approval of the State Council, Lingle county was abolished and Lingyun county and Leye County were restored. Lingyun County governs Sicheng (Chengxiang) town and governs seven communes, namely Chengxiang, Xiajia, lingzhan, Shali, luolou, Jiayou and Yuhong. In 1984, Lingyun county carried out system reform and adjusted the township division into two towns and eight townships (namely, Sicheng Town, luolou Town, Xiajia Township, Chaoli Township, Shali Township, Jiayou Township, Donghe Township, Yuhong Township and Lihong township), with 109 Village (street) committees. Among them, lingzhan, Chaoli, Shali, Yuhong and Lihong are Yao nationality townships. In May 2000, Jiayou township was changed into Jiayou town. In May 2002, Baise city was changed from land to city, and Lingyun county was subordinate to Baise City. Among them, there are 36742 in Sicheng Town, 25442 in luolou Town, 18138 in Xiajia Township, 14887 in lingzhan Township, 7442 in Chaoli Township, 16722 in Shali Township, 10944 in Donghe Township, 24749 in Jiayou Township, 15613 in Yuhong Township and 4894 in Lihong township. on January 19, 2001, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZH No. 10) agreed to change Jiayou Township into a town system, and the administrative area under its jurisdiction remained unchanged. On June 21, 2005, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZH No. 176) agreed to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns in Lingyun County: Donghe township was abolished, three villages of Longya, Baima and Jiao village of Donghe Township were under the jurisdiction of Sicheng Town, five villages of Anshui, min, Xindong, Dongxin and Piao village of Donghe Township were under the jurisdiction of luolou town; Lihong Yao township was abolished, and the whole system was merged into Yuhong Yao Township, Yuhong Yao township The residence of Hongyao township government remains unchanged.
