Historical evolution
In the Western Zhou Dynasty (1046-771 BC), King Wu conquered Zhou and established the Zhou Dynasty. In memory of the kindness of the former king, the descendants of the Yellow Emperor were enfeoffed to Zhu (now Yucheng, Qihe and Changqing), which is called "Zhu state". In 1912, Yucheng County was subordinate to Jinan government of Shandong Province.
In 1913, it belonged to delindao, Shandong Province. In the next year, it changed to Donglin Dao. In 1926, it returned to delindao. In 1928, it became the sixth administrative supervision office of Shandong Province.
In 1946, Yucheng County government was established, which was subordinate to Luobei Special Administrative Office of Bohai district.
