Mengyin County is a county under the jurisdiction of Linyi City, Shandong Province. It is located in the central and southern part of Shandong Province, the hinterland of Taiyi mountains and the Yin of Mengshan mountain. It spans 117 ° 45 ′ - 118 ° 15 ′ E and 35 ° 27 ′ - 36 ° 02 ′ n, with a maximum distance of 65.4 km from north to South and 45.8 km from east to west, covering a total area of 1605 square kilometers, accounting for 9.3% of the total area of Linyi city.
Mengyin County has a history of more than 2000 years since it was established in the Western Han Dynasty. As of 2012, Mengyin County has achieved a GDP of 14.758 billion yuan, which is the National Ecological Demonstration County, the national top ten fruit production county, and the national leading fruit production county.

Historical evolution
Mengyin County was a poor country in ancient times.
The county was built in the early Western Han Dynasty, and got its name because it was in the shadow of Mengshan mountain, belonging to Taishan County of Yanzhou. After Wang Mang usurped the throne, he was renamed Mengen county.
In the early Eastern Han Dynasty, it belonged to gai and Mou.
Mengyin County was restored in the Wei Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms, belonging to Langxie County of Xuzhou.
At the end of the Western Jin Dynasty, it was abandoned because of war.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties, Xintai county was set up in Mengyin in the Northern Wei Dynasty, belonging to Dong'an County of Southern Qingzhou.
In the Eastern Wei Dynasty, Xintai County of Dong'an County was renamed Mengyin County, still belonging to Dong'an County.
Mengyin County was merged into Xintai County of dongtaishan County in the Northern Qi Dynasty.
Since then, through the Sui, Tang and Five Dynasties until the third year of JINGDING in the Southern Song Dynasty, a total of 712 years, all belong to Xintai county.
In the third year of JINGDING in the Southern Song Dynasty (1262), Mengyin was transferred from Xintai county to Yishui County, which was called Xintai town.
In 1313, Mengyin County was rebuilt, belonging to Juzhou, Yidu road. According to the stele of rebuilding Mengyin County, the reconstruction of Mengyin County was in the second year of Yanyou reign of Yuan Dynasty.
The second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1369) belongs to Qingzhou Prefecture.
In 1730, it was changed to Ju state.
Yongzheng 12 years (1734), Yizhou Prefecture.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the government set up the road, and Mengyin County belonged to Jining road.
In 1925, it was changed to Langya road.
In 1928, Dao was abolished and directly belonged to the province.
In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it belonged to the office of administrative inspector of the third district of Shandong Province.
In September 1941, most of the former Mengyin County was divided into Xinmeng County, Taining County and Bolai county. Mengyin County belongs to the second special district of central Shandong.
In March 1943, Mengyin County was abolished and restored in September of the same year. It still belongs to the second special district.
In 1947, Mengyin County was renamed lingfu county.
In 1949, the original name was restored.
In July 1949, it belonged to Yimeng district.
In June 1950, it was transferred to Yishui district.
In August 1953, it belongs to Linyi area.
In December 1994, Linyi was set up as a city, which is still Linyi city.
