Tonggu County Tonggu County, subordinate to Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest border of Jiangxi Province, upstream of Xiuhe River, adjacent to Yifeng County in the East, Wanzai County in the south, Liuyang City and Pingjiang County in the west, Xiushui County in the north. The terrain is wide in the West and narrow in the East, slightly triangular in shape. Tonggu was the place where the Autumn Harvest Uprising broke out and where the former enemy Committee was located. Tonggu County is the only pure Hakka County in Northwest Jiangxi Province. 80% of the population in the county is Hakka. The fusion of various cultures has created a unique and long-standing Hakka folk culture, such as folk songs, food, dwellings, comics and so on.

In 1908, Jiangxi Governor Wu Shijian learned politics and changed the bronze drum to Fumin hall.
On the first day of the first month of the second year of Xuantong (February 10, 1910), the bronze drum was abandoned, and the office of Fumin was built, which separated from Yining Prefecture and belonged to Nanchang Prefecture.
In July 1913, Tonggu was abolished and Tonggu was established as a county in Zhili Province.

In February 1968, Yichun district was changed into Yichun District, and Tonggu was subordinate to Yichun regional Revolutionary Committee.
In July 1978, Yichun regional Revolutionary Committee was changed into Yichun regional administrative office, and Tonggu was subordinate to Yichun regional administrative office.
