QUANNAN County QUANNAN County, a county under the jurisdiction of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southernmost part of Jiangxi Province. It is known as "the South Gate of Jiangxi Province", with a total area of 1535 square kilometers. QUANNAN county was founded in 1903, the 29th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It was originally named "Qiannan county", and got its name because it is located in the south of Qianzhou (now Ganzhou). The mineral resources of QUANNAN county with large-scale reserves include 26 kinds of tungsten, rare earth, fluorite, porcelain clay, tantalum and niobium. Among them, the reserves of fluorite, rare earth and tungsten are 1.15 million tons, 20000 tons and 50000 tons respectively, ranking the second, third and fourth in Ganzhou City; there are two important tributaries of Ganjiang River, Taojiang River and Huangtian River, and the hydropower reserves of the county are 36000 kW, which is the first batch of primary electrification standard counties in China; the annual average temperature is 18.6 ℃. QUANNAN is one of the top ten Vegetable Production Counties in Jiangxi Province, the key county of national vegetable industry development, and the national demonstration area of Alpine vegetable standardization.
In 2019, QUANNAN county will achieve a GDP of 8.188 billion yuan and a fiscal revenue of 1.091 billion yuan. On July 29, 2020, it will be included in the National Health township (county) naming list of 2017-2019 cycle.
Historical evolution
In the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), after the unification of the whole country, it was divided into 36 counties. Qiannan belonged to Nanji county and was subordinate to Jiujiang county.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Jiujiang county was renamed Huainan state and Yuzhang County, and later renamed Jiujiang county. Qiannan still belongs to Nanji county.
In the 25th year of Emperor Guangwu's founding, Jiujiang county was renamed Yuzhang county. Nanye county was renamed as Nanye County, and Qiannan belonged to Nanye county. In 195, Emperor Xiandi established Luling County in Yuzhang County, which was subordinate to Nanye county. Qiannan belonged to Nanye county.
The Three Kingdoms belong to Wu, Jiahe five years (236 years), divided into Luling County, set up the south of Luling Duwei, and analysis of the south field set up Nan'an county. Qiannan belongs to Nan'an county.
In the first year of Taikang (280), Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty changed Nan'an County into nan'kang county. In the third year of Taikang, the Duwei in the south of Luling was abolished and Nankang county was established. Qiannan belonged to Nankang county.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties, Nankang county was renamed Nankang state, and later it was restored to Nankang county. Qiannan belonged to Nankang county.
In 589, Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty changed Nankang County into Qianzhou. Qiannan belongs to Nankang County of Qianzhou.
In the first year of Zhenguan (627) of Tang Dynasty, Qiannan belonged to Nankang County of Qianzhou, Jiangnan Road; in the first year of Yongchun (682), Nan'an county was located in the southeast of Nankang County, and Qiannan belonged to Nan'an County; in the 21st year of Kaiyuan (733), 10 roads were divided into 15 roads, which were divided into Jiangnan East Road and Jiangnan West Road Nanan county was changed to Xinfeng County, and Qiannan town (now Longnan county and QUANNAN District) was set up in the south of the county. Qiannan belongs to Xinfeng County.
In 918, Qiannan town in the south of Xinfeng was changed into qiannanchang; in 953, qiannanchang was changed into Longnan county. At this point, Qiannan district belongs to Longnan County, and Beipian district belongs to Xinfeng County.
In 1121, the name of Longnan county was changed to Qiannan County; in 1153, Qianzhou was changed to Ganzhou. Qiannan county was renamed Longnan County, and it was subordinate to the former.
From the Yuan Dynasty to the 24th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1287), Longnan county was merged into Xinfeng County, and Qiannan County belonged to Xinfeng County; in the 2nd year of yuanwuzong's reign (1309), Longnan county was restored, and Qiannan County belonged to Xinfeng County and nanpian county.
In the ninth year of Hongwu (1376) of the Ming Dynasty, the Chief Secretary set up the prefecture and county, and Qiannan belonged to Longnan and Xinfeng respectively.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was established along the Ming Dynasty, and Qiannan still belonged to Longnan and Xinfeng counties under the jurisdiction of Ganzhou Prefecture; in 1903, Qiannan hall was set up under the jurisdiction of Ganzhou Prefecture. From then on, Qiannan was listed as a county level political power.
In 1913, Qiannan department was changed into Qiannan County, which was subordinate to Jiangxi provincial government; in 1914, Jiangxi Province was divided into four levels, namely, province, Dao and county; in 1926, Gannan Dao was abolished and Qiannan county was subordinate to Jiangxi provincial government; in 1932, Nanchang Xingying party and government committee was abolished and Jiangxi provincial government was established In 1933, the 11th and 13th administrative regions were merged and renamed Gannan administrative region, and Qiannan county was subordinate to Gannan administrative region; in 1934, Gannan administrative region was renamed the ninth administrative region, and Qiannan county was subordinate to the ninth administrative region.
On August 20, 1949, the Chinese people's Liberation Army led by the Communist Party of China liberated Qiannan. On September 1, Qiannan County People's government was established, which is subordinate to Ganzhou district administrative inspector office.
In November 1949, Qiannan county was subordinate to southwest Jiangxi administrative office.
