Jin'an District Jin'an District is the jurisdiction of Lu'an City. It was established in September 1999. It is the main urban area of Lu'an City. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Lu'an City. It is also an important part of the national Wanjiang City belt to undertake industrial transfer demonstration area and Hefei Economic Circle. Jin'an District is located in the east of Lu'an City, with Hefei as its capital in the East, Shouxian County in the north, Shucheng County in the South and Yu'an District in the West.
The famous and high-quality products in Jin'an District mainly include Lu'an Guapian, Wanxi White Goose, yipinzhai brush, etc.; the scenic spots mainly include Wanxi Rift Valley, Maotanchang old street, Dongtian lake, etc.

In March 2019, it will be listed in the first batch of counties for the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. On April 29, 2019, the people's Government of Anhui Province approved Jin'an District to withdraw from the sequence of poverty-stricken counties. In November 2019, it will be selected as the second batch of counties (districts) that meet the water-saving society construction standards.
Historical evolution
Jin'an District, Qin Dynasty, is Jiujiang county.
In Han Dynasty, it belonged to Jiujiang County, Hengshan County, Lu'an County, Lu'an county and Lujiang County.
During the period of the Three Kingdoms, it belonged to the Wei Dynasty, and was governed by Lujiang County.
In the Western Jin Dynasty, it belonged to Lujiang County.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties, Liu Song belonged to Xincai County of Southern Yuzhou; Qi Liang belonged to Kaihua County of Huozhou; Northern Wei belonged to Xincai county and Biancheng county.
In the Sui Dynasty, in the first year of kaihuang (581), it belonged to Luzhou; in the third year of its establishment (607), it belonged to Lujiang County.
In the Tang Dynasty, in the 27th year of Kaiyuan (739), Huoshan was changed into Shengtang County, and juyu city was transferred to be the state of Shouzhou in Huainan.
In the period of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, the prosperous Tang Dynasty was changed into Qianshan County in the Houliang Dynasty; the latter Tang Dynasty was renamed Shengtang County; the first year of Tianfu (936) in the later Jin Dynasty, the prosperous Tang Dynasty was changed into Laihua County, and then the prosperous Tang Dynasty was renamed; the late Wu, Southern Tang and later Zhou dynasties still belonged to Shouzhou.
In the Song Dynasty, Lu'an county was set up in the fourth year of Kaibao (971), belonging to Shouzhou of Huaixi road; Shouchun mansion was set up in the sixth year of Zhenghe (1116); Lu'an army was promoted in the first year of Chonghe (1118), belonging to Huaixi road; Anfeng army was demoted to county in the twelfth year of Shaoxing (1142); JINGDING army was promoted in the fifth year of JINGDING (1264).
In the early Yuan Dynasty, it was Lu'an army; in the 28th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1291), it was changed to Lu'an County; later, it was Lu'an Prefecture, belonging to Luzhou road of Zhongshu Province in the north of the river in Henan Province.
In the Ming Dynasty, in the fourth year of Hongwu (1371), the province and county entered the prefecture, belonging to Linhao Prefecture of Zhongdu; in the 15th year of Hongwu (1382), it was changed to Luzhou Prefecture; in the seventh year of Hongzhi (1494), Huoshan County was restored, and Lu'an Prefecture led Yingshan and Huoshan counties.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Jiangnan Province in the second year of Shunzhi (1645), Luzhou Prefecture in Anhui Province in the sixth year of Kangxi (1667), and liusidao in Fengying County in Anhui Province in the second year of Yongzheng (1724).
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Liu'an Prefecture was abolished and Lu'an county was restored. In the beginning, it belonged to huaisidao and soon changed to Anqing Dao. In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), it was directly under Anhui Province. In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), it belonged to the Fifth District and the third district. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it was changed to the second district.
From the end of the 37th year of the Republic of China to the beginning of the following year (A.D. 1949), it belonged to Lu'an District of Northern Anhui; in April 1952, it was changed to Lu'an District of Anhui Province; in 1979, it was under the jurisdiction of Lu'an district; in 1999, it was established as Jin'an District.
