Quzhou County, subordinate to Hebei Province, is a county under the jurisdiction of Handan city. It is located in the Heilonggang basin of Haihe Plain in the east foot of Taihang Mountain in the south of Hebei Province and the northeast of Handan city. Qiu county in the East, Guangping and Feixiang in the south, Yongnian and Jize in the West and Pingxiang in Xingtai City in the north. Quzhou County covers an area of 676 square kilometers, governs 6 towns, 4 townships, 342 administrative villages, with a population of 530000 (2020).
Handan Huanghua Port Railway (Handan Huanghua Port Railway for short) and Qinglan Expressway pass by. There are six 220kV, 110kV and 35kV substations with sufficient power supply. Historical evolution
According to the records of Quzhou County, Quzhou County was the land of jinquliang in the spring and Autumn period. The Warring States period belonged to Zhao and Qin to Handan.
In the sixth year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (201 BC), Li Shang was granted the title of Marquis of Qu Zhou. In the second year of Zhongyuan (148 B.C.) of emperor Jing, the state was removed as a township. In the fourth year of Jianyuan (137 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty established Quzhou County, which is governed by the ancient city camp (now belongs to Qiu county) and belongs to Guangping state. In Xinmang period, Qu Zhou was changed into Zhizhou. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was renamed Quzhou. At the same time, Nanqu county was merged into Quzhou County, and there was still chizhang County, which belonged to Julu County.
During the Wei period of the Three Kingdoms, Quzhou and chizhang counties belonged to Wei County first and Guangping County later.
In the Jin Dynasty, Quzhou County was merged into Lieren county (the county government is in the northeast of today's Feixiang), which belongs to Guangping county. In the 20th year of Taihe (496), Zhangxian county was restored, which belongs to Guangping county. In the reign of Jingming (500-504), Quan county was established by pingen (Quzhou). In the early years of Tianping (534), it was transferred to Wei county. In the Northern Qi Dynasty, Quan and chizhang counties were abandoned and merged into pingen county. In 556, pingen county was transferred to chizhang City, belonging to Wei county. Mingzhou was established in the first year of xuanzheng (578) of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, and pingen county was changed to Guangping County of Mingzhou.

In 1939, Quzhou was occupied by the Japanese, and the puppets entered the county. The 129th division of the Eighth Route Army under the leadership of the Communist Party of China entered Quzhou and established the Anti Japanese government, which is the third special office of the Southern Hebei administrative office.
