XuXiake tourism museum is located in the southeast corner of China XuXiake Tourism Culture Expo Park, with a total construction area of about 6000 square meters and a total investment of about 30 million yuan. Taking "the first person in China's tourism" and "the first museum in China's tourism" as the core, the museum sets up functions such as Xu Xiake's tourism culture exhibition, China's tourism development history, Xu Xiake's cultural and academic exchange, multimedia modern demonstration space and leisure sightseeing, etc., to display the Xiake spirit of "walking around the world and exploring infinity".

Development history

The bidding for China XuXiake tourism museum project was completed at the end of June 2008, and the construction started on July 9. At present, we are paying close attention to the implementation of basic engineering and exhibition planning and design. On March 29, 2009, we completed the main building, facade decoration engineering, exhibition arrangement and opening to visitors. It will be built into the "cultural best", "artistic best", "famous tourism product" and "handed down boutique" to display China's tourism.

The whole museum displays three main lines: Ancient Museum, modern museum and Future Museum respectively through the "bottom-up" location order and "from ancient to present" time order. The ancient museum is used to display the historical and cultural resources, materials, documents and other humanities and art works related to Xiake spirit, Xiake deeds and Xiake life. It mainly displays the ancient poetry, prose and travel notes about tourism (such as: records of the Buddha, notes to the water classic, records of the western regions of the Tang Dynasty, and Xu Xiake's travel notes). At present, it has collected all kinds of Xu Xiake's travel notes There are more than 50 editions, including five different editions of Xu Xiake's books, one edition of stamps, five postcards, one commemorative coin, two large copper coins, one poster and two first day covers. The modern museum is used to display scientific information about Xiake's travels, such as mountains and rivers of the motherland, natural scenery and geological data, so that tourists can follow Xiake's footprints and experience the beautiful rivers and mountains of China. The future museum is used to display the future scientific and technological tourism achievements and tourism modes of "inheriting Xiake spirit and keeping up with the pulse of the times", and to reflect the modern tourism spirit of sustainable development. Through the means of high-tech, the future tourism modes such as space tour, sea bottom tour, global tour, etc. will be embodied, which will be combined with the game industry, science fiction film and television, science popularization education. Through the direct operation, participation and demonstration of tourists, they can experience the new, exciting and fantasy future tourism, and enhance the knowledge, interest and experience of tourism projects.

Collection

Xu Xiake's travels is a famous Chinese geographical work with diary style. After more than 30 years of travel in the late Ming Dynasty, Xu HongZu wrote 17 travel notes of famous mountains such as Tiantai Mountain, Yandang Mountain, Huangshan Mountain and Lushan Mountain, and other works such as travel diary of Zhejiang, travel diary of Jiangyou, travel diary of Chu, travel diary of western Guangdong, travel diary of Guizhou and travel diary of Yunnan. Except for the lost, he left more than 600000 words of travel notes. After his death, Xu Xiake's travels was compiled by others. There are 10 volumes, 12 volumes, 20 volumes and so on. According to the diary, the author made a detailed record of the phenomena of geography, hydrology, geology, plants and so on. He made great achievements in geography and literature

Anecdotes and allusions

Xu Xiake was born in the Ming Dynasty from January 5, 1587 to March 8, 1641. His name was HongZu and his name was Zhensheng. Xiake was his name. He was born in a well-known wealthy family in Jiangyin, Zhili (now Jiangyin, Jiangsu). Our ancestors are all scholars, which can be called a scholarly family. His father, Xu youmian, did not want to be an official or associate with the powerful all his life. He liked to visit everywhere and enjoy the landscape. Influenced by his father when he was young, Xu liked to read books such as history, geography, adventure and travel notes. These books made him love the magnificent rivers and mountains of his motherland since he was a child, and determined to travel all over the famous mountains and rivers. When he was 15 years old, he should have had a boy's test, but he didn't get it. When the father saw that his son had no intention of fame, he encouraged him to read widely and be a learned man. Xu Xiake's ancestral building here is Xu Xiake's former residence. He built a wanjuan Lou to collect books, which created a good condition for Xu Xiake to read widely. He is very serious in reading. He can remember everything he has read when asked. The collection of books at home can not meet his needs. He also collects books he has never seen. As long as he saw a good book, even if he didn't bring money, he would take off his clothes to change it. At the age of nineteen, his father died. He wanted to go out to visit famous mountains and rivers, but according to the feudal society's moral code "parents are here, not far away", Xu Xiake had his mother in the hall, so he was not ready to go out immediately. His mother is a literate and reasonable woman. She encouraged her son to say, "as a man, you should be ambitious. Go on a journey! Go to heaven and earth to broaden your mind and broaden your knowledge. How can I stay at home and do nothing because I am here, just like the chicken in the fence and the pony on the shaft After hearing these words, Xu Xiake was very excited and determined to travel far away. Before leaving, he left his hometown wearing the traveling crown made by his mother and carrying simple luggage on his shoulders. That year, he was 22. From then on, until his death at the age of 54, he spent most of his time in travel and investigation.
