The Royal Mausoleum
Chuang Wang mausoleum is located on the west side of Shichang highway in Jiashan central scenic area of Shimen County, Hunan Province. It is the cemetery of Li Zicheng, the leader of peasant uprising and emperor of Dashun regime in the late Ming Dynasty.
Chuang Wang mausoleum is adjacent to Jiashan temple. It is reconstructed according to the records of He Yu, the prefect of Lizhou, who visited Jiashan in person in the Qing Dynasty. Chuang Wang mausoleum covers an area of 2 hectares and is composed of mausoleum guard, purple stone archway, Shinto, Mausoleum and Ming tower.
Chuang Wang mausoleum is grand and solemn, known as "the first mausoleum in Hunan". It is the mausoleum built by Li Zicheng and the largest royal garden in the south of the Yangtze River. Chuang Wang mausoleum has been listed as a key cultural relic protection unit of the province.
Introduction
Located eight kilometers southeast of Shimen County, Hunan Province, with a total area of 1530 hectares. The park is a scenic spot integrating the scenery of garden and mausoleum, Buddhist holy land, and ancestral traces of tea and Zen.
The people's Government of Shimen County appropriated a large sum of money for the restoration and reconstruction of Chuang Wang's Mausoleum according to the original appearance described by He Xun, the governor of Lizhou in the Qing Dynasty, who visited Jiashan in person.
Structural layout
Chuang Wang mausoleum, a plaque hanging in front of the mausoleum, was inscribed by Mr. Liu chongri, former president of Ming History Society of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1995. The whole cemetery covers an area of more than 30 mu, which is composed of Lingwei, purple stone archway, Shinto, Mausoleum, minglou, Shenchu, stele Gallery, Li Zicheng memorial hall, Yefu tower, etc. Chuang Wang's mausoleum is magnificent in scale, which is completely the palace style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is known as "the first mausoleum in Hunan".
Lingwei
The three characters of "Chuang Wang Ling" were inscribed by Mr. Liu chongri, President of Ming History Society of Chinese Academy of social sciences. There are nine nails in each row on the gate of the mausoleum, which symbolizes the supreme of the ninth five year plan, and the top is the caisson design of ancient buildings.
Couplets on both sides of the door:
The leader of the peasants wanted to return to the Han family for his long cherished wish,
The monk's cassock, Yan Qi's Buddhist temple, proves the hero's fate and tries to recognize the cultural relics of the previous dynasty.
Memorial Hall
The memorial hall was completed in 1993. The plaque of "Li Zicheng's Zen hidden Jiashan Memorial Hall" on it was inscribed by Mr. Wu Limin, former director of China Buddhist Culture Research Institute, former Vice Minister of United Front Work Department of Hunan provincial Party committee, Secretary General of Hunan Provincial Committee of Chinese people's political Consultative Conference, director of culture and History Committee of Hunan Provincial Committee of Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, and President of Hunan Buddhist Culture Research Association. The museum displays a brief introduction of Li Zicheng's life course, as well as a text introduction of credible evidence of his Zen hidden Jiashan.
Dashun Bridge
Dashun bridge is named after the name and year of Chuang Wang. Under the bridge is Yongchang pool, which is a semicircle.
Purple stone archway
The purple stone archway is located on the Shinto road. According to the "old purple stone archway, which is magnificent and smashed by the people concerned" in the current chapter of the twelfth mausoleum in the volume of Shimen County annals, the word "Fengtian proposal" is written in the middle of the archway, which is an excerpt from the poem of Yongchang romance written by Li Jianhou.
There are stone statues on both sides of Shinto. The first pair is stone lion, which is a symbol of dignity and power. The second pair is unicorn, which is a legendary animal, symbolizing auspiciousness and auspiciousness. The third pair is elephant, as the saying goes: South elephant, North camel. The fourth pair is sheep, which means that Li Zicheng was a shepherd boy when he was young, and the fifth pair is horse, which means Li Zicheng's military life.
Shentai
Shentai, first of all, is the "Tomb of Fengtian jade monk". The animal carrying the stele is the sixth son of the Dragon King of the East China Sea. It is also called the dragon head turtle body. It is said that it has great power and is dedicated to the camel stele.
mausoleum
The tomb is Li Zicheng's tomb, which was excavated by archaeologists in 1980. The burial method is rare. It is only found in Mizhi County, Shaanxi Province. It is divided into one tomb and three caves. The right cave is the Zuohua jar, and the middle is the urn. Due to the destruction of the court and the patronage of tomb robbers, the left cave only has a number of broken tiles and a "Kuang Fu stele" buried with it.
Yefu tower
Yefu pagoda was excavated a few meters away from Li Zicheng's tomb. The inscription on the pagoda reads: "it's said that the 33rd Yefu Wei Zen master pagoda of Linji orthodox school". According to research, Yefu is indeed fengtianyu's great disciple, that is, Li Guo, Li Zicheng's great nephew. In order to be filial to his master's mausoleum, he set up the pagoda here, aiming to make the pagoda like the person and accompany him.
Minglou
The last building in the royal mausoleum, also known as the stele Pavilion, is an excerpt of the sentence "Li Zicheng, general of Dashun emperor" in the letter sent to the author by Li Jianhou, nephew of Li Dingming, former vice chairman of Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border region, after reading the romance of Yongchang written by him.
