The whole water granary is made of Cunninghamia lanceolata. The pillars of each granary are of different sizes. The water depth in the pond varies from several feet. Each granary is 3.5 meters to 4 meters high and is supported by 4 or 6 granary columns. The bottom of the granary is about 2 meters away from the water surface. The roof is covered with green tiles or fir bark. Each granary covers an area of about 25 square meters and can store about 2500 kg of grain. All granaries can hold hundreds of tons of grain. In the pond where duckweed floats, granaries are well arranged, dotted with curved stone roads, and the wooden buildings built on the mountain set off each other, making them more graceful.

The water granary can prevent fire, rats, insects and ants; at the same time, due to the concentration of water granary, people in the village will be around sooner or later, which can also guard against theft; the whole village is a wooden house, even if it is on fire, it will not damage the granary. This simple architecture and exquisite design is not only an important symbol of Miao farming culture, but also a perfect combination of history, reality and natural ecology. Jinji dance

Xinqiao village also has a unique folk dance, Jinji dance, which is a traditional sacrificial dance performed by Miao women above middle age on tongguping accompanied by Tonggu and Lusheng. It fully demonstrates Miao people's worship and yearning for bird totem since ancient times.
