Qinggangshu Village

Qinggangshu village is located between Xuyan River and Baitiao River in sandaoyan Town, Pidu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. There are 11 communities, 685 families and 2183 people in the village, covering an area of 1.8 square kilometers and 1888 mu of cultivated land. Shaxi line passes through from east to west, 20 minutes' drive from Chengdu City. It is the nearest village from sandaoyan town to Chengdu City.

In April 2020, qinggangshu village was named as the demonstration village of Sichuan Province in implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy in 2019.

Historical evolution

Once upon a time, qinggangshu village was a land and water wharf, with four shops, restaurants, small department stores, hotels and so on. The market trade was very lively. The merchant ships from Zhao town of Jintang, along the Baitiao River, brought in tobacco, yellow sugar, oranges and other agricultural and sideline products, loaded with rice, Douban and so on. However, due to the two fires, the market trade gradually declined. At the beginning of the new century, in qinggangshu village of sandaoyan Town, a group of artists who love rural pastoral scenery quietly came to live here. In the past three to five years, more than ten art courtyards with different shapes have sprung up, just like a group of intriguing live pictures. People far and near call this place "painter village". Under the new situation, qinggangshu village is making full use of the favorable natural conditions of Shaxi line, Baitiao River and Xuyan River to build a leisure tourism catering industry belt in accordance with the county and town social and economic development plan, so as to drive the development of other related industries. The more famous catering enterprises in the village include Hejing villa, zaishuifang, yushuiyuan Renhe fresh fish villa. We should vigorously develop the work of attracting investment, introduce agricultural industrialization projects with strong radiation and driving effect, do a good job in land circulation, change the traditional agricultural planting mode, expand the industrial scale, promote the transfer of rural labor force, change rural environmental health, and improve the quality of life of the people.

Village customs

Qinggangshu village is rich in aura. In its early years, it was a water transport terminal, and there were frequent vehicles, ships and merchants. According to the legend of the elders in the village, during the Dragon Boat Festival in the leap year, when the moon is dim on the river bank, there is a golden boat sailing in the river at night. The boat is full of golden ducks. From time to time, a Golden Duck falls into the river. When I went to look for it in the morning, there was no sign everywhere. In order to catch the Golden Duck, the ancient custom of rowing dragon boats every year to grab the duck was left on the Baitiao river. In the early years of qinggangshu, there was a wanghuang temple, which was full of incense. It is said that there is a grand "fish fair" in the river in front of the temple every year. At the turn of spring and summer, groups of fish are led by a "red footed" head fish. When they arrive at the water surface of the wanghuang temple, they stop and gather together to form a spectacular fish formation. It doesn't take much effort for the men, women and children in the village to catch a large number of fish with basket covers and Mandarin baskets. Villagers have long been forbidden to eat meat, not to sell money. When there are fish, there are birds. Water mist, the beginning of the light, often egrets cluster, flying off and down, dancing. Witnessing this scene, people will immediately think of the fisherman's poem by Zhang Zhihe of the Tang Dynasty: "egrets fly in front of Xisai mountain, peach blossom water, mandarin fish are fat, green Ruo bamboo hat, green coir raincoat, and there is no need to return." In 1998, Zhao Liangquan, a professional sculptor in the village, collected and transported a load of Hongdou stones from the mountains. He sent the stone samples to the Chengdu market to find buyers. He met Zhao Shangyi, a famous artist from the Provincial Art Association. Mr. Zhao went to see the stone in Zhao Liang's family. When I got off from sandaoyan town to qinggangshu village, I still took doutiankan path. After nine turns and ten turns to Zhao Liang's family, Mr. Zhao not only takes a fancy to the stone, but also to the open, quiet, beautiful and waterside natural scenery here. He plans to buy a few farmhouses here and transform them into life creation bases. In 1999, Zhao Shangyi built his own garden, and at the same time, he helped Murakami repair the road. After a while, Qian Laizhong, chairman of the Provincial Art Association, said that he was very interested in it. After visiting Zhao Shangyi's new residence twice, he decided to set up a life creation base here. Then, Zhang Jian and several other people came to the site one after another to build a beautiful residence with unique charm. The courtyards they built have the style of Chinese classical dwellings and Japanese Oriental style. The garden is full of flowers and trees, with small bridges and flowing water, bamboo fences and tile walls, wisteria trellis and stone table path. The environment is very elegant and pleasant. There are also several art loving industrialists in the business circle who are attracted to invest. In 2003, Rongchuan Industrial Co., Ltd. rented 118 mu of land here, built a "Hejing villa" and expanded the line-up of painter village. After the completion of the Shaxi line, the road just passed by the painter village, entering Chengdu in the East and TangChang in the west, making the transportation more convenient. On weekdays, artists all work in Chengdu. When it comes to weekends or big holidays, they come here for leisure, go into nature, get close to farmers, observe life and absorb artistic nutrition.

Village Painting Exhibition

It is said that one year, the peasants had a whim, hoping that the painters would hold an exhibition in the village to broaden their horizons. As expected, the painters collected many famous paintings inside and outside the province, and did not let the farmers pay any money. They held a unique exhibition for them, which was never seen in the world. In order to express their gratitude to the painters, the farmers made several rural "nine bowls" to entertain them, and the painters enjoyed themselves. The village Party branch secretary said wittily that once upon a time, an eminent monk came here to see feng shui and pointed out that if a pagoda was built along the Baitiao River, there would be great literati. Without building the pagoda, a group of great literati fell from the sky out of thin air. This really adds a lot of fame to qinggangshu village.

Honors

In April 2020, qinggangshu village was named as the demonstration village of Sichuan Province in implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy in 2019.
