Historical evolution

Wuhu Mechanical School

In September 1935, the Spanish Catholic Jesuit Church founded Anhui Private Neisi senior technical school.

In September 1938, it was renamed Wuhu private Neisi middle school, which was closed during the Anti Japanese war.

In 1945, the school resumed.

In February 1946, it was renamed Wuhu private Neisi industrial vocational school.

In April 1949, it was renamed as private Neisi Industrial Vocational School in Wuhu, Wannan district.

In February 1951, Wuhu Municipal Higher Vocational School (Engineering) was merged into the school and renamed Wuhu Industrial School in southern Anhui.

In October 1952, the mechanical part of Anqing Advanced Industrial Vocational School of Wuhu industrial workers' school was merged into the school, and Wuhu Industrial Vocational School of Anhui Province was established under the leadership of the former Anhui Provincial Department of industry.

In October 1955, it was renamed Wuhu electric power school.

In August 1958, the Mechanical Engineering Department of the school was separated from Anhui Administration College and merged to establish Anhui Polytechnic College (later renamed as Anhui Institute of Technology); it supported the establishment of Hefei Chemical Engineering School and Huainan Chemical Engineering School.

In March 1959, it was renamed Wuhu electrical machinery manufacturing school.

In July 1960, it was renamed Wuhu electrical machinery manufacturing college and enrolled a class of electrical equipment specialty of industrial enterprises.

In August 1961, the junior college class was merged into Anhui Institute of technology, and the school was renamed Wuhu electrical machinery manufacturing school. In September, one class of Hefei Radio School and Wuhu Dangtu chemical school was merged into the school.

In July 1962, the school changed its name to Wuhu electrical machinery manufacturing School under the leadership of the former first Ministry of machinery industry. In September, some students of aviation school were incorporated into the school.

In 1966, due to the "Cultural Revolution" to stop enrollment.

In March 1969, the school was transferred to Wuhu City, under the leadership of the former Wuhu Bureau of machinery and electronics industry. In November, the school changed to Dongfanghong motor factory, and attached with a motor manufacturing school.

In 1971, the recruitment of secondary school students was resumed.

In September 1972, the electrical machinery manufacturing School Affiliated to Dongfanghong electrical machinery factory was renamed Wuhu Mechanical School.

In July 1973, Dongfanghong motor factory was changed into Wuhu motor manufacturing school, which was under the leadership of the former Anhui Provincial Department of machinery.

In 1977, as a teaching center of Hefei University of technology, it began to recruit full-time undergraduates.

Anhui Institute of mechanical and electrical engineering

In December 1978, with the approval of the State Council, it was upgraded to a full-time regular undergraduate university and renamed Anhui Institute of mechanical and electrical engineering.

May 19, 1984 China Standardization Management Cadre College was established with the approval of the State Economic and Trade Commission. It is under the leadership of the former National Bureau of standards and jointly runs a school with Anhui Institute of mechanical and electrical engineering. Under the unified leadership, it undertakes the task of short-term training for two-year cadres, short-term training for single subject, organization of standardization teaching and scientific research activities. Since 1985, it has recruited University Majors and double majors studying standard chemistry Bachelor's degree.

In 1986, Anhui mechanical and electrical College moved to Zheshan East Road. In June, the people's Government of Anhui Province decided to restore Wuhu machinery school (in June 2003, it was renamed Anhui College of mechanical and electrical technology).

In 1996, Anhui Institute of mechanical and electrical engineering passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the former State Education Commission.

In December 2001, it was renamed Anhui Institute of engineering and technology.

At the end of 2007, he got the excellent grade in the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education.

Anhui Engineering University

In March 2010, it was renamed Anhui University of technology.

In January 2013, he was selected into the National College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship training program.

In July 2014, it was rated as a national university with typical employment experience by the Ministry of education.

In 2015, it was approved as one of the first batch of Pilot Universities in Anhui Province.

In 2016, it was approved as a pilot unit of innovation autonomy reform in Anhui Province.

In March 2018, it was selected into the first batch of new engineering research and practice projects of the Ministry of education.

In June 2019, the school was approved as "the first civilized campus of Anhui Province".
