brief introduction
The building is simple and generous, new in ancient times and integrated with Chinese and western. This unique red, yellow and blue sculpture in the pool represents the light and shadow transformation of water and color. The main exhibition hall on the second floor covers an area of 260 square meters, displaying the works of Mr. Li in various periods, and also providing a platform for some art workers to display their works from time to time.
This is Mr. Li Jianchen's life introduction hall. The statue I saw in front of me was carved by famous sculptor Li Guangyu according to the photo taken before Li was born. "Bright and thorough" is the motto of Li Lao's life; "color is power" is his innovative idea in Chinese painting. Li Jianchen was born in Beigou village, Songcun Township, Neihuang County, Henan Province in 1900. In 1926, he graduated from the Department of Western painting of Beijing National Academy of Arts, studied watercolor painting under the guidance of Czechoslovakia painter zitil, and studied Chinese painting under the guidance of Chen banding and Wang mengbai. He went to England and France to study in 1937. In 1940, at the invitation of Lu Fengzi, he was the dean of Chongqing National Academy of Arts (now the Central Academy of Fine Arts) and the director of the Department of Western painting. In 1941, he was a professor of Architecture Department of National Central University (now Southeast University), engaged in art education for more than 80 years, and trained several generations of talents for the construction industry and art industry. The book watercolor painting techniques, published in the 1950s (1958), has been reprinted many times in China. It has been reprinted 12 times in Hong Kong and printed more than 200000 copies. At that time, it was unique. It trained students all over the world and created a group of watercolor painting of an era. It is known as the "father of Chinese watercolor painting" at home and abroad,
At the same time, he is also good at Chinese painting and oil painting, known as "master of Chinese painting", "master of oil painting" and "master of art education". Many of his works have been collected by China Art Museum, China Military Museum, Zhou Enlai Memorial, Zhu De Memorial, Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum, Henan Provincial Art Museum and museums around the world, such as the United States and Japan. At the age of 91, he was invited by the Taiwan authorities to become the first painter from the mainland to hold a personal painting exhibition in Taiwan. Chen Lifu personally inscribed his works for the exhibition, which made the exhibition a sensation on the island and was praised as "a national treasure master" by all walks of life in Taiwan. Li Lao is not only outstanding in painting art, but also highly praised for his quality and noble character. He donated 70 paintings to the Henan provincial government at the age of 95 and 120 paintings to the Jiangsu provincial government at the age of 100. After his death, Li's children donated the last 80 masterpieces to the Nanjing municipal government in accordance with his will, and built the "Li Jianchen Art Museum" in Qingliangshan park. Therefore, they are called the "three high old people" by later generations.
This is a special introduction to Li Lao's posthumous work evergreen. At the invitation of Southeast University, for Yu Jizhong and his wife. The celadon in the painting is called China in English, and another Chinese interpretation of China is China, which expresses the wish that both sides of the Taiwan Strait are descendants of the dragon and wish the reunification of the motherland; "evergreen" represents that the motherland will always be prosperous and strong just like evergreen; safflower is the fruit of China's development.
Finally, here's the story of the hand. When Li was 100 years old, he once said, "I really love my hands. They follow me how many paintings I have drawn and how many students I have taught for 100 years. If only they could be preserved." In order to fulfill his father's wish, when he was 101 years old, Li's children found someone to use polymer materials to build this model from his hands and brush it with gold powder.
