The festival square is a project of comprehensive renovation of Caishi river. It was started in October 2003 and completed in 2006 with a total investment of 405.68 million yuan. Located in the south of caishihe Road, between Hudong road and Huxi Road, the square is 1200 meters long from east to west and 980 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of about 1.2 million square meters, including 300000 square meters of water area and 650000 square meters of green area. It is the largest leisure Square in our city. With Caishi River as the center, the square is divided into North and south parts. The north bank is the activity center, mainly including square, hydrophilic steps, promenade, waterscape and flower garden. The south bank is mainly green land, and the two banks are connected by wooden plank road and landscape bridge. The square is equipped with about 2000 lamps and lanterns.
