Songzhu Temple

Songzhu temple, one of the famous temples in Beiping, is located at No. 25, beiheyan street. Together with Zhizhu temple on the west side, it is announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Beijing. Songzhu temple is the residence of Zhangjia Hutuktu. The couplet of the main hall and the back building is the imperial script of Emperor Gaozong of Qing Dynasty. There is Fayuan temple in the East and Zhizhu temple in the West. To the East is the site of Sanchang, which is the Fanjing factory, Hanjing factory and Daojing factory set up in Ming Dynasty. There are three copper cloud plates under the west corridor, on which the word "Fan Jing Chang" is cast. Located in the east of the horse temple, the temple is decadent, but it is still the residence of Zhang Jia in Xi, with an office to preside over the affairs of the Yellow religion. In 2012, the management personnel ignored the relevant regulations of cultural relics protection and rebuilt Songzhu temple and Zhizhu temple into two high-end restaurants in one middle school and one west.

On December 14, 2014, Songzhu temple was revealed to have luxury catering, accommodation services and private high-end consumption places.

In January 2015, Beijing ordered the relevant departments to close down the private clubs in Songzhu temple.

Historical evolution

Songzhu temple was built in 1733, the 11th year of Yongzheng reign of Qing Dynasty. It was the residence of jiahutuktu in Beijing. In the 36th year of Kangxi (1697), Zhang Jia, the first generation, was appointed to live in the Huizong Temple of Duolun. In the 45th year, he was granted the title of guanding master, who was in charge of Monan Huangjiao (Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism). In Yongzheng period, he was also appointed to take charge of Huangjiao temples in Inner Mongolia, Beijing, Shengjing, Wutai Mountain, Gansu and other places.

From the second chapter, the main residence of Hutuktu (living Buddha) was Songzhu temple. According to Volume 29 of rixiajiuwen Kao: "Fayuan temple is in the east of Songzhu temple, Zhizhu temple is in the west of Songzhu Temple", "mingfanjing factory and Hanjing factory are now Songzhu and Fayuan three temples"; Volume 3 of jingshifangxiang Zhigao: there is Fayuan temple in the East and Zhizhu temple in the West of Songzhu temple. In the East is the site of Sanchang; in the Ming Dynasty, there were Fanjing and Hanjing factories, and Daojing factories here. ". However, according to the complete picture of the capital in Qianlong's 15th year, there are two groups of large buildings in the east of Songzhu temple, namely, Fanjing factory and Hanjing factory. There is no place between Songzhu temple and the two factories to accommodate Fayuan temple. It should be that the two factories were rebuilt into Fayuan temple. The records in the capital Fang Xiang Zhi manuscript are not accurate enough.

Temple characteristics

Songzhu temple is located in the north and faces south, with a large scale and three roads. The main temples are concentrated in the middle road. The east road is mainly for squatters, auxiliary rooms, Buddhist halls and Scripture halls. The west road is mainly for Lama houses. Middle road from the gate to the back building, a total of five storey palace. There are three mountain gates and five purlins in depth. It is a big ridge of hard Hill tiles. On the top of the ridge, there are kissing animals and hanging animals. One Dou and two Sheng Dougong. Inside, it is made by the Ming Dynasty. The upper eaves of the bell and drum tower are Xieshan tubular tile with big ridge, with kissing beast and hanging beast. A Dou and three Sheng Dougong are used. There are corridor railings around. The lower eaves are tubular tile hoop ridge. The upper and lower corner beams are hung with bells and painted with spiral color paintings.

There are three Tianwang halls with five purlins in depth, and they are big ridge of hard hill and tube tile. Inside, they are made by the Ming Dynasty. There are red walls on both sides of the hall, and the top of the wall is big ridge of tube tile, on which there is a beast kissing. On both sides, there is a door to the courtyard. There are five main halls in Liyuan, with corridors, big style hard hill, big ridge, one Dou and two Sheng Dougong under the eaves, with lark head and sparrow. In the Ming Dynasty, there is a plaque called "Miao Ming Zongjing".

On the opposite side, there is a wooden structure brick hanging hill, tube tile hoop ridge building, with a kiss beast hanging beast, which is said to be the place of light. There are five rooms in the throne hall. There are big style hard hill, big ridge, kissing beast, hanging beast and spiral painting. There are three ear rooms on the left and right respectively. In front of the hall, there are three buildings. The buildings are big style hanging hill, big ridge, with kissing beast and hanging beast. At the back of the hall, there are seven Sutra collection buildings, two floors, with big ridges of hard Hill tiles, hanging and kissing animals on the top, lattice doors and windows on the upper floor, benches and railings, and wellhead ceiling inside. From the temple to the East can pass Fayuan temple. Today, the gate of Songzhu temple, the bell and Drum Tower and the front hall have been demolished, and other main halls still exist. Some buildings have been built after demolishing the original site of Songzhu temple. There are only a few houses in the north of Fayuan temple. The main body has been demolished and buildings have been built.

In January 2015, Beijing ordered the relevant departments to suspend business and rectify the private clubs in Songzhu temple and Zhizhu temple. After finding out the violation of discipline, the relevant departments and responsible persons will be seriously dealt with.
