Taiyuan street

Taiyuan street can be as famous as middle street. Most of the consumers are young people. It is also one of the most prosperous business districts in Shenyang. Because it completely imitates the Ginza Business Circle in Tokyo, it has the title of "the first golden street in Northeast China". From Chinese time-honored brands in the 1920s to skyscrapers with strong modern flavor, they are all concentrated along Taiyuan street. There are Zhongshan Dagong watch City, Fengtai fur commercial building and Qiulin company with strong European architectural style, as well as modern and prosperous Hualian Commercial Building, New Mart and Isetan.

Taiyuan street

Shenyang Taiyuan Street commercial pedestrian street, located in Heping District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, adjacent to Shenyang station, is one of the most famous commercial streets in China. The most influential fashion hub in Northeast China, its influence radiates the whole Northeast Asia. After entering the new century, it is transformed from the planning mode of Ginza Business in Japan.

In 1898 ad, Shenyang railway station was reduced to a Russian concession area, and "West four streets", an unknown path, became the predecessor of Taiyuan street, which is now famous in Northeast China. In 1919, the Japanese invaders forced all the streets attached to the Manchuria Railway to use Japanese names, and "West four streets" was also named "chunri town" in humiliation.

At the beginning of 1905, the Russo Japanese war ended with the victory of Japan. It was a war in a third country, whose purpose was to plunder Northeast China. Japan occupied Shenyang and changed the former Russian "railway subsidiary land" (in the present west tower area) to "Manchurian Railway subsidiary land".

In 1910, "man tie" built "Fengtian post" (the embryonic form of today's Shenyang Railway Station). After the completion of "fengtianyi", the "Manchurian Railway" accelerated its "subsidiary" new street plan. The so-called Xinshi street, with fengtianyi as the center, opens up three main lines to the East, namely today's Zhonghua Road, Zhongshan Road and Minzhu road. Zhonghua Road is perpendicular to fengtianyi, and the other two radiate obliquely. There is a north-south street in front of the station, that is, today's Shengli Street. There are more than ten streets on the same level with Shengli Street. The main line includes today's Nanjing Street and Heping Street. Today, Taiyuan street is one of the North-South commercial streets in the east of Shenyang station and the west of Nanjing street. It was originally named "chunri town".

After 1919, they were named qiandaitiantong, langsutong and Pingan Tong, which are today Zhonghua Road, Zhongshan Road and Minzhu road. Qiandaitiantong is perpendicular to fengtianyi, and the other two radiate obliquely. In front of the station, there is a north-south street, with more than ten streets built parallel to Miyajima town and josong Town, namely today's Shengli Street. The main lines are chunri town Qingye town and shinonao town Xuejian town (Heping Street). Chunri town (now Taiyuan north street) is one of the North-South commercial streets in the east of Zhanqian and the west of Nanjing street. After liberation, this century old street was officially called "Taiyuan street".

After 1981, Taiyuan street in the wave of reform and opening up, with its convenient transportation, long business history, has gradually developed into a business street with merchants and people.

After nearly a hundred years of historical vicissitudes, today's "Taiyuan Street business district" mainly refers to Zhonghua Road, Taiyuan street, Zhongshan Road as the main framework, forming a business center with strong modern flavor in Shenyang.

Taiyuan commercial street is located in the downtown area of Shenyang. It is a multi-functional commercial community integrating commerce, catering, culture and entertainment, with large comprehensive department stores as the main body and professional stores as the supplement. It is 3950 meters long. The section of nearly 1000 meters from Zhongshan Road in the north to the cultural Palace in the South has become the most prosperous commercial district in Shenyang.
