Baise Baise < I > (Zhuang: bwzswz) < / I > is a prefecture level city under the jurisdiction of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China. It is located in the west of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the upper reaches of Youjiang River, between 104 ° 28 '- 107 ° 54' E and 22 ° 51 '- 25 ° 07' n, connecting Wenshan Prefecture of Yunnan Province in the west, Xingyi City of Guizhou Province in the north, Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the East, and Vietnam in the south Soil. Historical evolution
"Baise" evolved from "Bose village", which is a Zhuang language, meaning a place with complex terrain. First, it means "a place to wash clothes". It is said that at the confluence of e river and Chengbi River, there is a bottomless deep pool, and there is a village on the bank. The village women often wash clothes here, so it is named.
During the Warring States period, Lingnan was called the place of Baiyue, and Baise was a part of Baiyue.
In 214 BC, Qin Shihuang set up three counties (Guilin County, Nanhai county and Xiang county) in Lingnan, and Baise belonged to Xiang county.
At the end of Qin Dynasty and the beginning of Han Dynasty, Baise belonged to Nanyue state; after Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty pacified Nanyue state, Baise belonged to ZengShi County of Yulin County.
During the Three Kingdoms period, Baise belonged to Wu and still belonged to ZengShi County of Yulin County.
In the early Jin Dynasty, ZengShi county was changed into Zengyi County, and Baise belonged to Zengyi County of Jinxing county.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties, Baise belonged to Zengyi County of Jinxing county.
In the Sui Dynasty, Baise belonged to Xuanhua County, Yulin County.
In the Tang Dynasty, Baise was set up in Jimi Tianzhou (the governor's office of Qianzhou Prefecture in the south of the Yangtze River), which belonged to lezhou and Wulong county.
In the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Baise first belonged to Chu and then to the Southern Han Dynasty. It is still called Tianzhou, guile Prefecture and Wulong county.
In the Song Dynasty, Wulong county was changed to Wulong County, and Gutian County (the county was governed by Dahe village, now Nabi township) was set up, which belonged to Tianzhou in gengzhou road. Longchuan Prefecture, Tang Xingzhou and Suizhou were added.
In the Yuan Dynasty, Tianzhou was promoted to Tianzhou Road, Baise was still called Wulong County, Jimi was returned to lezhou, Longchuan, tangxingzhou, Suizhou and Tianzhou (song Gutian County). It belongs to Tianzhou road.
In the early Ming Dynasty, Jimi Longchuan Prefecture, guile Prefecture, tangxing Prefecture, suixu Prefecture and Wulong County were abolished, and their land was merged into Tianzhou. In 1369, Tianzhou road was promoted to Tianzhou tufu, and in 1528, Tianzhou tufu was reduced to Tianzhou tuzhou. Today Baise is the land of Tianzhou and tuzhou.
In 1664, Tianzhou was transferred to si'en Prefecture, and the government was stationed in Wuyuan County (now Wuming County). Yongzheng seven years (1729) divided into Tianzhou tuzhou to set up the hall system, Qian Si Fu Li Miao Tongzhi in Baise, called Baise hall. The city will be built the next year. This is the beginning of Baise's name. In the first year of Guangxu (1875), Tianzhou changed its land to Liugui, and Baise hall was upgraded to Baise Zhili hall. It has jurisdiction over Enyang prefecture (today's tianyangdi), Enlong county (today's Tiandong county), shanglintu county (today's Tiandong Silin town), Xiawang Tusi (today's Haicheng District of Pingguo County), etc.
In the same year, Tianli, Wulong County, longzhuanli and the four capitals of zhuanli were assigned to Baise hall. This is the beginning of Baise. It is 360 Li long from east to west and 95 Li wide from north to south.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Baise Zhili hall was renamed Baise Prefecture. In the second year, Baise county was established. Tuzhou and tuxian, which belonged to the former Zhili hall and Baise Prefecture, were set up as separate counties, belonging to tiannandao (established in 1913) as well as Baise county.
In 1926, Tao was abolished.
On December 11, 1929, the Soviet government of Baise county was established. Six districts and fifty-one townships, including longzhuanli Yidu, Erdu, Sandu, Sidu, Wulong and Longchuan (Lingyun county at that time), under the jurisdiction of the county, set up the district and township Soviet governments respectively.
In 1930, Guangxi began to establish the system of the Republic of China. Baise county belongs to the Baise militia district.
In 1934, Baise county set up an administrative supervision district, which was renamed administrative supervision district in 29.
From 1942 to 1949, Guangxi was divided into 7 districts and 15 districts. Baise county is the Fifth District. The RSD is based in Baise.
On December 5, 1949, Baise county was liberated, still known as Baise County, under the leadership of Baise prefecture (the executive office is located in Baise town).
In October 1983, with the approval of the State Council, Baise county was changed into Baise City (county level).
On June 2, 2002, the State Council approved the abolition of Baise Prefecture and county level Baise City and the establishment of prefecture level Baise City.

In June 2002, Youjiang district was established in Baise City, with the former county-level administrative region of Baise City as the administrative region of Youjiang district. Baise City governs Tianyang County, Tiandong County, Pingguo County, Debao County, Jingxi County, Napo County, Lingyun County, Leye County, Xilin County, Tianlin County, Longlin Autonomous County and Youjiang district.
In 2005, Baise City merged 50 towns. There are five in Youjiang District, five in Tianyang County, three in Tiandong County, five in Pingguo County, six in Debao County, five in Jingxi County, two in Lingyun County, five in Longlin Autonomous County and three in Xilin County. Starting from June 8, the city officially launched the implementation of the township merger work, and completed by the end of June.
In August 2013, with the approval of the autonomous region, Yongle township of Youjiang district was changed to town system, and Baise city also obtained the township construction together with Wucun township of Tianyang County, Fengwu township of Pingguo County, de'e township of Longlin Autonomous County and nalao township of Xilin County.
On August 1, 2015, the Ministry of Civil Affairs approved the abolition of Jingxi County and the establishment of county-level Jingxi City, with the former administrative region of Jingxi County as the administrative region of Jingxi city. Jingxi city is directly under the central government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and administered by Baise City.
On August 26, 2019, with the approval of the State Council, some administrative divisions of Baise City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were adjusted. Tianyang County was abolished and Tianyang District of Baise city was established. The Administrative Region under its jurisdiction and the residence of the people's government remained unchanged.
