Stem cylindrical, green when young, yellow pilose, brown when old, glabrous, skin slightly rough, often verrucous processes; single leaf alternate, ovate triangular to triangular, about 10 cm long, about 6 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cordate; petiole 2.5-3.5 cm long, tomentose or pilose. Male inflorescence 2-4 clusters, 8 cm long, pubescent; male outer calyx 3, inner calyx 6; petal 6, stamen 6; female flower has staminode, stigma tip 2-lobed. Drupe subglobose.
It grows in the mixed forest on the hillside. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Fujian and Taiwan.
