Annual creeping small herbs, 15-25 cm high, with white milk. The root is slender; the branch is dense, the branch is soft and thin, with lavender color, and the surface has white pubescence. Leaves small, opposite, 2-row, oblong, 5-8 mm long, 2-3 mm wide, apex with short tip, base oblique, margin sparsely finely toothed above middle, dark green above, dark purple in center, white pubescent below; petiole only 1 mm long or almost sessile; stipules linear, usually 3-lobed, cupular cyme, solitary in branch axils and leaf axils, dark red; total length: 1 mm Bracts campanulate, 4-lobed; with 4 glands, transversely elliptic glands and petal like appendages; involucre contains several male flowers formed by one stamen, with one female flower in the middle, bracteoles, style 3, ovary with stalk, hanging outside involucre. Capsule trigonous ovoid, ca. 2 mm in diameter, surface covered with white pubescence, apical style remaining. Seeds ovate, angular, smooth. The flowering period is from May to June. The fruit period is from August to September.
