[plant morphology] nine creeping nodes

Many branches of supine shrubs, often climbing on rocks or trees, stems often have adventitious roots. Leaves small, papery, opposite; ovate, obovate or ovate oblong, 1.5-6 cm long, 8-20 mm wide, apex short pointed or obtuse; stipules membranous, short sheathed, caducous. Panicle terminal, 3-branched, 1.5-3.5 cm wide; calyx tube inverted panicle, lobes 5, very short; corolla white, outside slightly chaff like, 5-lobed, lobes slightly longer than the tube; stamen 5; ovary 2-locular, ovule 1 per locule. Drupe small, subglobose, white, ca. 5 mm. It blooms in autumn.

Born on rocks or trees in the mountains. It is distributed in the south of China.

[collection] it can be harvested all year round, and the branches and leaves can be cut and dried in the sun.

[herb] the dry branches are 6 mm thick, dark brown, with adventitious roots and pith in the center of cross section. The leaves are opposite. Branches often have inflorescence or fruit, fruit brown, with edge line on the surface, persistent calyx on the top, and two chambers in cross section. It is better to have more leaves, no roots and impurities.

It is mainly produced in Guangdong, Fujian and Guangxi.

In a few areas, this product is used as luoshiteng. See "luoshiteng".

[chemical constituents] the whole plant contains higher aliphatic alcohols, ketones, stigmasterols and β - sitosterol. There is no triterpenoid acid.

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 0.5-1 Liang (fresh 1-2 Liang); mash juice or diffuse wine. External use: mash juice or grind powder to mix and apply.

[selection] treat the stomach and choke: one or two fresh stems and leaves, and stir up the juice, add sugar cane pulp to baijiu.

② Treatment of urine turbidity: wear root vine dry whole grass, two liang each time. Fried in water or stewed in small intestine.

③ For the treatment of intestinal wind and blood, defecate five or six times a day: one or two for each of Lianye and Huaihua, and five for each of them. Fried and soaked in black sugar. Two wear root rattan root one or two, fried in water.

④ Treatment of laryngopharyngeal obstruction: put through the fresh root of Rhizoma Dioscoreae, grind a small cup of juice and swallow it slowly.

⑤ Treatment of hemorrhoids and swelling: wear fresh roots of Rhizoma Dioscoreae, grind juice, apply to the affected area.

Snake bite: 42 of the whole herb is dressed in root vine, one jin of soaked Baijiu, one week later, each with a small Huai, and another with cotton dipped in this medicinal wine. (Quanzhou materia medica was selected)
