[source / prescription] this product is gelatin from the trunk of the LacciferlaccaKerr., a species of the family gelatinous animal lac insect, which is parasitic on the DalbergiaL.f. of the Wutong and EriolaeneaDC., and other species of the genus

[character] the product is irregular semi cylindrical, 1-7cm in length and 1-1.5cm in width. The surface is reddish yellow or purple brown, uneven, with wrinkles, small insect eyes and pores. Attached to the branch and concave into a groove, the edge blunt circle.
