Homemade Cortex Moutan
Introduction:
Production steps:
Step 1: wash the hawthorn, cut it open with a knife and take out the seeds.
Step 2: pour water into the pot, bring to a boil, add hawthorn, while stirring, press hawthorn with spoon, crush hawthorn (or boil it slightly, add it to the blender), and cook until it is as shown in the picture.
Step 3: take out the filter residue, pour it into the pot and cook again. Add appropriate amount of rock sugar and honey and cook until it is thick. Be sure to keep stirring to prevent sticking.
Step 4: put the thick hawthorn cake in a flat bottom container. The thickness depends on what you like. I've used up all my flat containers
Step 5: Dry - sun dry... Just do what you want. ha-ha. I put a bowl of hot water at the bottom of the bowl to dry.. If you have the patience to change the hot water continuously, it will be about 2 hours.. If you have no patience, just wait... Maybe one day? Maybe two days? I'll do it anyway
Step 6: cut the plastic wrap to a suitable size and roll it up. It's not very authentic...
Materials required:
Hawthorn: at will
Rock sugar: right amount
Honey: right amount
Note: 1. Cook a little thicker, can reduce the drying time. 2. Pour it thick for one day, because it will become thinner after drying. 3. I always thought that there was a lot of pigment on the outside, otherwise the Hawthorn would become like this. Only after I made it at home did I know that cooking is so magical ~ ~ ~ try it yourself~~~
Production difficulty: simple
