Daheishatu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shangdu County, Wulanchabu City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Shangdu County, adjacent to Buzi town No.2, Kangbao County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province in the East, Dasuji Town, Shangyi County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province in the south, shibaqing town in the west, Chaoyang Town, Huade County in the north, with an administrative area of 417.93 square kilometers.
In 1949, it was the third district of Huade County; in September 1950, it was assigned to Shangdu county with ten districts; in 2001, daheishatu and sitaifangzi were merged into daheishatu town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of the town was 32242. As of June 2020, daheishatu town has 29 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in daheishatu town was 1500 yuan. In 2018, daheishatu town has 3 industrial enterprises and 9 comprehensive stores with business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1949, it was the third district of Huade County.
In September 1950, it was assigned to Shangdu County, with ten districts.
In July 1956, daheishatu township was established.
In 1958, spark commune was established.
In 1961, it was renamed daheishatu commune.
In 1984, daheishatu commune was transformed into a township.
In 2001, daheishatu and sitaifangzi were merged into daheishatu town.
